The republicans need to put down that blockade.

I'm fixing things that has been screwed up over the past decade
we have to work together to get things done.

And of course, the things will be horrible if we don't pass this "jobs bill" another stimulus, throw away another billion or two, blah, blah, stutter, cough, stutter, need mo money, I ain't muslim, etc.

so here is a summary Of the speech:

It's the republican's fault, that nothing he's done so far has helped anything.

It's still Bush's fault for where we are at

lets all sing..."we are the world" etc. etc.

And of course the fear tactic. If we don't pass this we will all die.

Companies aren't hiring because people aren't spending.

People aren't spending because they don't have a job.

After the initial allocated time to collect unemployment, it's welfare.

What are all those who are on da' welfare doin' wit da' money?

Savin' it up?

There are jobs out there.

Just cuz, they don't pay as much as Mr Jones makes or, the jobs are in another part of the country should be no excuse for not havin' a job.

Th unemployed need to have a match lit under 'em.

I know a 16 year old kid who's bichin' about no work and he ain't gonna' finish school. I told him Job Corp would get him his Diploma or GED then, train and prepare him for a real world job. Feed him, house him and even pay him to do it.

His lazy asss wants to play his videa games and hang out in front of the TV.

Im in las vegas nevada, my experience is clerical and administrative support. I do not yet have a degree, I have limited customer skills and only speak one language.

I need to make enough for the fuel to get to the job, the car insurance to be on the road, and the child care for someone to keep my toddler while I work and I DONT wish to work for JUST enough money to cover what I need to work(call that whatever you want to,, not leaving my child for a Osum game)

point me to the job opening and I will go,,,,

,good luck with that,, I been trying over a year now...I send out my resume to EVERY clerical opening I find EVERY week,,,,

nice how so many can judge others without knowing the first thing about them,

my day is cooking, cleaning, laundry, running errands, reading with my toddler, playing with my toddler, ....I guarantee I am up out of my seat DOING something more often during the day than the fatcat fortunate enough to sit at a computer on their BEHIND all day

I wish some of those would be more cautious about throwing around that word 'lazy' as if having a paycheck eradicates laziness...or not having one proves it

That is a pretty sad commentary about how our consumption based debt driven economy works..

It's a sad day when people saving money is a detriment to the overall well being of the economy..

Pretty pathetic..
