Topic: Most US Marines don't want gay roommates | |

I really doubt there will be gay sex going on in the barracks with everyone around. I'm sure they will find other places to get it on at. Besides, who cares if someone is gay. It does not make them less of a human. no, but neither does being male and yet they dont allow males to bunk with females its a matter of privacy,,, |

It does not make them less of a human. no, but neither does being male and yet they dont allow males to bunk with females its a matter of privacy,,, dont know about that,,, but people want to feel comfortable in their beds and be able to relax without wondering if someone is ogling them and even if it is a fact that a man sleeping next to a woman may not find her in the least bit attractive, the POSSIBILITY is what would cause great discomfort for alot of women and good reason not to enforce such bunking arrangements in the military , that applies to homosexual attraction too,,,noone is attracted to EVERYONE but when there is a gender preference there is that uncomfortable possibility someone you arent attracted to is attracted to you and looking at you lustfully there is an ASSUMPTION that this potential for lustful attention is not the case with the same gender and that sense of comfort should be maintained,,,in my opinion or else we may as well just start bunking the men and women together too |

It was hot in the barracks in Rigestan. So hard. Hard to be next
to someone...His best friend, his protector, and he didn't even know...How the loins of his bunkmate burned, ached in the heat... It is all about fantasies...and the sphincters... |

I would think that the Marine Corp would oppose open homosexuality in their ranks for the same reason women don't bunk and fight side by side with men.
Relationships are bound to occur right? Imagine you and your boyfriend are captured... I know that if my girlfriend were captured, I'd just about give up anything to keep her from being tortured... I'd be ineffective as a soldier in that case, not to mention a security risk... Anyways... It seems so to me... |

I don't know how it works any longer bein's Progressives pushing their agendas.
Used to be, a Marine took orders. They didn't think about it. So, if a Marine is ordered to bunk with the homersexules, they may not like it but, they will. |

straight men are afraid of gay men because they fear being the subject of unwanted sexual advancements....
I find it deliciously ironic that the "dudes" are now getting a taste of their own medicine after centuries of inflicting the same behavior on women..... |

You mean to say that women might feel uncomfortable sharing open showers, bathroom facilities, dressing rooms and then bunking night after night in intimate contact with a few dozen extremely horny sex deprived grunts? |

Hmm. Marines don't want gays as bunk-buddies. How strangely unexpected is THAT ... ? Dang. We had three gays in our company. They stayed until we hosted a 'blanket party' for their ringleader at around 0230 and mentioned that we'd be back unless they told the CO they wanted a transfer ... next morning they were history by 1000 hrs ... I love the way the Army lets the troops solve their own problem ...

My first ex-wife wasn't uncomfortable with it! |

So, if a Marine is ordered to bunk with the homersexules, they may not like it but, they will. of course they will,, an order is an order,,,,,,but will it affect morale and performance and is it the WISEST order to give? if they are made to bunk co ed,,,,they will do it, but at what cost to overall performance and enrollment? |
