Some of the people present have ties to Muslim terrorist groups such as Hamas. Was Obama pressured by some of these Muslim friends to support this Islamic Mosque de Triomph? Since February of this year, Obama has rewarded Hamas accomplishments with $1.23 billion U.S. taxpayer dollars. Or is this some Alinsky move, intended to heighten contradictions and “rub raw” (in Alinsky’s words) the emotions of the public for yet-to-be revealed purposes? Obama’s remarks drew a standing ovation from his Muslim guests. His remarks drew bitter criticism from an outraged “we the people of the United States of America .” So, he tiptoed around his words on Saturday, August 14, by lying to the American people and saying he did not endorse the construction of this mosque at that site. Muslims have religious freedom in the U.S. and they always will have it just like everyone else. There is no issue with Islam as a religion and Obama's detractors recognize this and are exploiting it politically. So the mosque brouhaha has become s real liability for Obama and the democrats and Obama helped elevate the stature of the debate with his needless comments. Rangel is right when he labels Obama a neophyte. It was a rookie mistake. They would like to put the Genie back in the bottle now. But the Republicans get 3 wishes first.

I add to the conversation that PRESIDENT BUSH said at a dinner of elite and rich folks that THEY WERE HIS BASE......interpreted by many who are not rich and elite as a slight,,,and yet he came out of it ok much like the oil spill this will dissipate into something much less substantial in the long run,,, |
