GMTA. It means great minds think alike. I have got this answer sometimes from women. What do you think it means? You have commonalities on each other's POVs. Hence, "alike". |

You agreed to something stupid they said and their happy they're not the only idiot. Excellent answer. Agreed. But I've never noticed one gender saying it more than another. It just means you're caught in the moment .. of their thought & yours tracking. |

In my experience, Generic Minds Think Alike. Then again, I've run across so few Great Minds that there's little basis for a frame of reference.

GMTA. It means great minds think alike. I have got this answer sometimes from women. What do you think it means? Great minds are skeptical about everything because of having an independent mind, and they would only think alike, if it's based on obvious facts. Even then, there is a chance one would put those facts to the test. |

For example, it wasn't all THAT long ago that it was a fact that the Earth was flat and revolved around the moon. |

You agreed to something stupid they said and their happy they're not the only idiot. perfect example of why GMTA is false However, isn't the term 'great' nothing but an opinion and opinions can neither be true or false? |

How about M I T A, Mutual Interests Think Alike, that is much more likely, because how easy is it to say, I was just thinking that, or you read my mind, Dont lie to get in pants. If you really have similar interests then going lpaces and having a great time will be much agreeable. We all know our opinions most likely differ and that it will be much easier to say GMTA than to sit and argue with someone.

You agreed to something stupid they said and their happy they're not the only idiot. perfect example of why GMTA is false However, isn't the term 'great' nothing but an opinion and opinions can neither be true or false? it is a value judgement ... but could be objective like an A or a B in any subject ... and A+ would be considered great by just about anyone. but I doubt you will find 2 A+ students that actually think alike. so ... we can develop a true or false to the assessment of great minds thinking alike. |
