"Intelligence Report: Movement at Root of Recent Police Murders Growing"
"The "sovereign citizens" movement, based on a bizarre ideology promoted by a father-son team that murdered two police officers recently in West Memphis, Ark., is growing at a rapid pace, according to the latest issue of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Intelligence Report, released today. In the new issue, the SPLC explores the strange world of the sovereign citizen movement and estimates there are now as many as 300,000 followers in the United States. About a third of those are considered hardcore adherents, with the rest testing out sovereign citizen techniques for resisting everything from speeding tickets to drug charges to home foreclosures. Sovereign citizens believe most Americans have no obligation to obey laws, regulations or tax codes, especially those imposed by the federal government. They justify their beliefs on the basis of decades-old conspiracy theories and intricate, nonsensical legal theories. “It would be easy to dismiss sovereign citizens as people who simply believe in ludicrous ideas and conspiracy theories,” said Mark Potok, editor of the Intelligence Report. “But the reality is that the bizarre ideas they espouse can drive some people to violence, even murder, as was seen so tragically in Arkansas this past May.” http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/news/intelligence-report-movement-at-root-of-recent-police-murders-growing-rapidly |

Just one more load of crap being rolled out in the 'Southern Poverty Law Center's 'Wheelbarrow Of Dung' ... This is not about the SPLC...it's about home grown American terrorists killing police officers...if they'd kill a cop then.... ![]() Two West Memphis Police Officers Killed; Crittenden County Sheriff and Chief Deputy Injured in Separate Shootouts "The fallen officers have been identified as Officer Brandon Paudert, son of Police Chief Bob Paudert, and Officer Bill Evans. Brandon Paudert died at the scene. Evans was rushed to Crittenden Regional Hospital where he later died." http://www.myeyewitnessnews.com/news/local/story/Two-West-Memphis-Police-Officers-Killed/jmDh6WCTukG6g84y5Il7OA.cspx At Officer Paudert's funeral: "At the beginning of the service, the Rev. Wallace Sherbon asked God for protection from "Godless men and their evil deeds and their evil plots." He urged those gathered to "look to the end to the final victory." Beech later said Paudert's family was grateful for the support they had received, "the hugs, the cards, the phone calls, the food, you just being here today." "Don't stop ... that's what they'll need in the days to come." During the service, family members wept and Paudert's father, West Memphis Police Chief Robert Paudert, kept an eye on his grandchildren, comforting them from time to time." Nothing new. They join militias all the time. Yes, they are dangerous. They should be included in our possible terrorist list because they are right on the edge of it. All they need is a gentle push. Then they will be all out terrorists. We have quite a few American terrorists in our borders who are born here terrorists. |
