I suspect an attack on our systems through this site! I keep getting a Java Security Alert and a new tab opens on its own while posting on this site now.

The Java application Analytics9 attempts to install and it is not a verified publisher! DO NOT RUN THIS APPLICATION. THIS IS AN EARMARK OF AN ATTACK.


I hope the administrators look into this becasue I do not appreciate advertising or data collecting directly from my machine. I suspect this Java application is a lot more than it seems!

I have had attacks attempted from here too in the past.
They were caught by my anti-virus software and blocked.

Now it seems this site also has allowed these nasty little pop ups that get thru my pop up blocker.

The pop-unders probably are not going away, but we do not want to be causing trouble for any of your machines with faulty ad coding. We definitely won't stand for "advertising or data collecting".

I've been working with the ad company, but we have yet to duplicate the problem. Therefore, we're asking those seeing this behavior to take screenshots of the program as it is trying to load, take a screenshot of the Mingle2 content while the program is trying to load, and record the URL that it is coming from. Of course, we'd also like to know the details of the operating system, browser, and security software that you are using. In other words, we'd like to collect as much information as possible.

The company that we are using for this has a solid reputation for not letting malicious programs get through, so we're confident there is no information collecting going on. We do want to make it work as it should on as many platforms of possible, though. In any event, please email the information to the following email address, for now:

Not sure about the other computers, but mine hasn't done it again since yesterday when I posted that.

strange the last 3 weeks or so on here, I get mozilla pop- ups only when on this site, no other sites. very annoying, they are for screen savers, writing wills etc.. but i get them no where else except when i am on here. I've been running mozilla for months and never got them before not on here or anywhere. again it is just when i am on mingle only.

iam4u, are you saying you got and deleted two pop-under ads? In other words, is the issue that you are seeing multiple ads?

Yes Charles,,everytime I other hit a post or come onto the site,,I get a pop up UNDER the screen ad,,it doesn't pop up in sight,,but behind my screen,,so NOW when that happens,,I delete them right after I get them,,there just really annoying...

Thank you for clarifying. Multiple pop-ups like you are getting should not be the norm, so try not closing the first one out until the end of your Mingle2 session.

is there something wrong with the zedo.com? it seems it takes a while for the screen to come up when it says waiting for c7zedo.com...just in the last week or so.

I haven't noticed it, mightymoe. We are in touch with zedo, of course, so we can check on that.
