Topic: Which Is Better, Butter or Margarine? | |

Health advice seems to be changing over the years. Which is healthier or tastes better when added to meals? Certain foods are bland without the addition of one or the other: Oatmeal, toast, mashed potatoes, fresh steamed vegetables. What is your take? I have come to the conclusion, there's nothing like the real thing. Butter's better!!! Let's not give science any more incentive to modify or immitate real food. |

I alternate using real butter and a non hydrogenated.margarine

Whenever I use margarine instead of butter when baking, it always burns faster. I'm a big fan of unsalted butter. If you're worries about taste, use more seasonings and creams.
