Ok, apparently when people thought the world was flat, the direction on a map pointing up was East. That is what I got out of tonight's Trivia night, which was pretty diffcult tonight. No WWII questions, which is my strong point. They need to ask Sci Fi questions! What is this "trivia night"? it's a night where they ask trivia, i think... MM, you're a freaking genius. |

No WWII questions, which is my strong point. They need to ask Sci Fi questions! What is this "trivia night"? I have been going to a Pizza place on Monday's where from 7pm to 9pm a TJ (Trivia Jockey) asks random questions to several teams. A song is played after each question where the teams participating can come up with an answer. Points are awarded for each question right, and the team with the most points at the end wins. Back on topic.... 3D movies just put more $ in someone else’s pocket! I want to see a no CG movie come out! Thanks Star Wars I-III !!! I'm sick of over the top and overdone CG. I guess it is what Americans are known for, quantity comes before quality. |

I'm still a fan of the 3-D fad that hit the early 80's(mainly 1983) with films like Jaws 3, Friday the 13th Part 3, Amityville 3-D, Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn, Treasure of the Four Crowns, Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone...fond memories of seeing all of these on the big screen in 3-D as a kid. (Loved finally getting to see Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3D again on DVD)

And I'm eagerly waiting to see Pirahna 3-D, this looks like a good 'ol insanely fun, crazy bloody, jammed with nudity 3-D flick!

The same director of Treasure, and the same actor(Tony Anthony)also did 1981's Comin' At Ya- a really fun 3-D western. Check it out if you haven't seen it(just stay clear of the DVD- the 3D is messed up). Interestingly Comin' At Ya was the first 3D movie released in the 80's and Treasure of The Four Crowns was one of the last released. They were planning on a 3rd 3D movie, but the popularity was already dying out before they went into production. |
