This is a great meet people forum...but do people really meet other people here? I mean as in a date..I love to read the post..the humor, the arts and poams...but I just dont think this is really a dating site...

I joined Plentyoffish only a week ago..and have had 100% more contacts with women who match my profile...I even went on a date after a few days..

This is my favorite site to go on for such purposes...if I were actually looking for dates. I've tried other sites but I like this one because of the "community" feeling in the threads.

I'm really just here for the community myself. It's more like a big club than a singles mixer.

I've been on a few dates with girls from this site.....they all FLOPPED!!! I ONLY go on this site for friends now. I have SOOOOO many wonderful guys and girls on here that I talk to and we make memories. I even talk to a few on the phone.... It's a WONDERFUL place.....FOR FRIENDS!!!for me anyway.... I have NO complaints on this site for friends. It's a great place to go to have good conversation and well sometimes bad. Even though it is bad....you still met someone...lol..

Let's just say I've had the complete opposite experience... POF has been completely useless, lots of contact but lousy dates. Here, less contact, but much better dates. And the forum is fantastic!

I'v met people here to date as well as friends. It takes a bit of effort, but it happens.

POF does seem to have a lot more locals, but I never found anyone on there I'd even be willing to meet.

i agree i get least two emails a day on pof from people that live within 75 (might not be the best looking two teeth)

Yeah i agree with most of these people i just like the "community" of the site. & if anyone ever did come along i might give them a chance.

Yabut, Mingle has no control over who joins. They cant go and get peeps from your area to sign up to please you. Enjoy the site for what it has to offer.

I totally concur. Nobody ever even replies here, well at least to my experience, which ticks me off! Not only that, but most of the potential matches that catch my eyes have not been active on this site for a while, so I can only assume they gave up and left Mingle2. Personally, I DEF. feel like this is more of a social networking site for making online friends similar to Facebook and whatnot lol. I had canceled my POF account last year after giving it a try, but to no avail. It was very similar to this free site. Figures...

I've met lots of wonderful people on here. Never heard of Plenty of Fish. Kinda a stupid name for a dating site. Sounds like a fishing site. I would be in to that........

I think POF is boooooring theres no interaction I find its hard to get to know someone just by e-mail.
