Topic: Adam Sandler Has The Golden Touch | |

Now see, I think differently. To me, he is one of those people that never varies, every thing he's in, he looks and acts the same. Sort of like Jack Nicholson. I've given him a fare shot but he just doesn't really take on the challenge. I see 'Adam S.' not the character he portrays, same voice. He doesn't step outside of his comfort zone. He plays a lot of different types of characters, and everytime he steps out of his comfort zone and does drama films or other tyoes of films, they flop. |

Here's some more totally useless Adam Sandler trivia. He casts his wife in bit parts of most of his movies or the movies he produces and is very good friends with Rudy Giuliani and donated the max to all of his campaigns.

Zohan is one of my least favorite Sandler movies. The only reason I think it made so much is that all the Sandler fans thought it would be one of his typical good movies. It did get high review's and rankings. It's a great movie for people who like slapstick comedies. For a Slapstick it's pretty good. |

I never made it through the beginning of don't mess with the zohan. IMO, it was really bad... i guess some people liked it tho. made a ton of money. You should really check out Bulletproof. It's only in the $5.00 bin at Walmart and it's one of his funniest old school comedies. It's like a buddie cop flick. Here is a link to the trailer, which doesn't do it any justice and show any of the funny parts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foiiptHFLGA |

Exactly- It's Adam Sandler first, then the character. He's stereocasted himself and can't produce. Movies are funny because of who they're written by (usually), with him he's had the same haircut and looks like he did 20 years ago. It's simply, to me, just him playing himself in different movies. It's not 'acting'. |

It's not 'acting'. Most of his movies are written, produced, and executive produced by him. So what if he's had the same look for 20 years? He plays different characters in all his movies and he is very good at that, looks have no matter on this subject. |

Here are his upcoming movie projects that details have just been released on.
Just Go With It ~ A plastic surgeon (Adam Sandler), who is afraid of commitment, tells his much younger girlfriend (Brooklyn Decker) that he’s married, with children to avoid having a serious relationship with her. When she starts to believe he's lying and threatens to leave him, he asks his office manager (Jennifer Aniston) and her children (Bailee Madison, Griffin Gluck) to pose as his family in order to prove his honesty. Also starring Nicole Kidman, Dave Matthews, Nick Swardson, Kevin Nealon, Heidi Montag and Dan Patrick. This souns like a really good movie. Release date, February 11, 2011. Jack & Jill ~ originally titled The Weird Personality, is an upcoming 2011 romantic comedy film and screwball comedy film. Starring Adam Sandler, Jennifer Garner, Seth Rogen and Steve Carell. Ben Zook and Adam Sandler wrote the script and Dennis Dugan, who has collaborated with Sandler on most of his films, served as director. The film will be produced under Sandler's production company Happy Madison and will be distributed by Columbia Pictures. It is slated for release on July 14, 2011. Zookeeper ~ The animals at the zoo adore their caretaker Andrew (Kevin James), an amiable but lonely guy who's never quite fit in. Finding himself more comfortable with a lion than a lady, Andrew decides he should leave the zoo and get a life. When the zoo animals discover his plan, they decide to break their code of silence and reveal their biggest secret: they can talk! Now they won't shut up and they're teaching Andrew nature's best mating rituals. To help him win the girl of his dreams (Rosario Dawson) and save their happy family, they're willing to do — or say — anything. Also starring Leslie Bibb, Donnie Whalberg, Sylvester Stallone, Judd Apatow, Jon Favreau, Cher, Mark Linn-Baker, Jim Breuer, Faizon Love, Bas Rutten, Maya Rudolph and Joe Rogan. Release Date July 8, 2011. The above movies are going to be made under Happy Madison Productions. Here are a couple under Happy Madison without Adam Sandler starring, but producing. Born to Be a Star ~ A kid from the Midwest moves out to Hollywood in order to follow in his parents footsteps—and become a porn star. Starring Nick Swardson, Christina Ricci, Stephen Dorff and Don Johnson. . It will be produced by Happy Madison Productions and distributed by Columbia Pictures. Adam Sandler, Allen Covert, and Nick Swardson wrote the script and director Tom Brady will direct. It is set to be released on April 22, 2011. Bad ~ There is no information I can find on this movie at all. Also Adam Sandler has a horror movie in production under the Scary Madison Label called the Shortcut, which Sandler is Executive Producing. |

I do enjoy most of his movies. And, I will give him credit. He does stick with what works for him. But then again, I would like to see him do more stuff like Punch Drunk Love and Reign Over Me. Hell, I'd love to see him play a villain one time. I think he could do it if he really tried to.

Thank you Kate, I wasn't dissing anyone either but was beginning to think had the only different sense of humor around here. I like dry, clever wit instead, not the obvious. Stuff that you have to think about There's some of us that like both. Yes sometimes I'm in the mood for the stuff that makes you think, but there are times I'm in the mood for the obvious and want to watch an Abbott and Costello movie. |

I'm not a big Sandler fan, but I don't see how having the same look and playing yourself is a bad thing- Laurel and Hardy, The Marx Brothers, Abbott and Costello all basically played themselves and looked the same in all of their films- yet, IMO this worked for them and all have made comedy classics. |
