Much nicer in Toronto today. It is now 80F and overcast and they keep telling us it is going to rain but it never happens. I do declare, if it rains anytime before 10PM I am going out for a short walk and enjoy the soaking. We don't get too many opportunities to walk in the rain here so seize the moment when it comes. Would be a whole lot better if I had a friend close by to walk with. Well we haven't had rain in ...6 months? Yes, it would be nice to have a friend close by, what're gonna do? I take the furs out about 11 or 12 at night, even then just for a quick block. Usually we walk for a hour. It's making me lazy not going. I just saw the pic of "your furries" The black one looks big. I get out for a walk every morning and a bike ride in the evening. |

Boy, it's a hot one... like seven inches from the midday sun... I hear everyone melting, like ice cubes, but you're sooooo cool...
I love this summer, heat and all. I had arranged my life after I lost my last job eighteen years ago to escape the heat: I moved into basement rooms and apartments only. This summer I moved up in the world, to the second floor room of a young family with no children. I look out the window and see the world!! Treetops swaying, kids playing in backyard pools, green all over the place, and it's hot. The family where I live has only one wage-earner, the wife, the husband has some chronic something, I don't ask what, they don't say. So when I looked at the place, even in the ad, they advertised air conditioning. The place IS air conditioned. Between 5 pm and 5:07 pm on July 1, between 4:56 pm. and 5:02 pm. on July 7th, and between 6 pm. and 7 pm on February 2nd, 2011. I don't mind. I have all kinds of chronic diseases that makes the sufferers suffer from the heat insufferably, and the medications for it make that worse, but seeing that it's my first summer when I see the light of the day all day in 17 years, I can't get enough of it. I walk around naked, have two fans, and if I am near passing out from the heat, then I wash myself with rubbing alcohol and stand in the direct line of fire by the fans. One fan I rigged above my armchair where I watch tv, massage the computer, and eat my meals. It's not one of them large, lazy ventillators; it's a medium-sized fan, about 16 inches in diameter, and blows air fast. I've always enjoyed a good, honest-to-goodness, quality blow job... I used to live in a big place, then I downsized to a 2-bedroom, then I moved into a large bachelor in the basement, then into an entire basement made into a spacious 2-bedroom, then two rooms one after another in rooming houses in the basements, and I constantly kept shedding belongings. Now I live again in a room, this is upstairs, the heat is unbearable, and I love every moment of it. |

and stupid out there today. The only thing is that this is end of August weather and that's the temp in the shade. Anyone expeience out of whack weather out there also? Last summer, it was abnormaly cool and remember thinking that this summer was gonna be brutal. They're even saying not to walk your animals during the daylight hours due to the cement burning their feet. Even up at the North - New England, it's a killer and been a killer for 2 weeks now. 95s and 100s with close to a 100% of humidity, it's like being cooked alive in a big pot of soup. Thats what I mean. Things are way out of whack, as far as the enviorment temperatures. Last year we had 6 inches of snow! (in the winter ) Ya last summer was sweeeeeeeeeeet. Very NOT hot. This summer? We've hit more days over 90 than all of last summer put together. Ridiculous. Atlantis I feel for ya. My daughter and SIL live back there & I used to. My son flew back to be with them for a couple weeks. They said it's soooooo miserable, just like you said. ARGH |

I thought we already were. ... Driveway to driveway, remember dear ... Where we could send the other packin' when we got sick o the whining or face ... ... I'm gonna Ice Tea ya up and take advantage! (Continuing in the same vein) "Ding, ding, sha-la-la-la boom boom, guess whom I saw come out of your house at seven in the morning on Sunday, but my ex..." Shooby-shooby trallalala, hey, good cooking, life is beautiful, at eight am. my boyfriend pranced out of your house... life is grand, trallallalala, my father comes out in your front door at eight thirty, and finally, hoop, hoop, tropple, my son comes waltzing out, tralallala, with his son... shooby, and then at twelve noon the entire broncos football stadium walks out, looking dead tired, like a horse with no name... shooby, trallallalla, tripple tripple boom boom chshhhhh... That's one reason why same-sex friendship friends should never move in inside each other's vision of field. Or field of vision. |

Its not any hotter than normal. It has'nt hit the 110+ yet in most places.
It was still relatively cool up until June, where it normally starts to get warm in May and toasty by June. Its the fact that it hit suddenly is why everyone is complaining about it. |

Last summer was very cool and wet with a mild winter,
we're making up for it this summer, plenty of heat and humidity here. Not unbearable. |

Its the fact that it hit suddenly is why everyone is complaining about it. Maybe in Cali. it isn't hotter than usual, but here in NY we are hitting almost 100 degrees and very high humidity. We haven't done that in years. Records have been broken in Central Park this year and out here on Long Island. |

MM, there was two times this past winter I couldn't even see the red of my car and couldn't open my screen door to go out. |
