With all the "the world will end on d/m/y" hype from Y2K to 2012, I find 2012 lacks any concrete evidence behind it. Besides, it may just be that the Mayans felt that was when THEIR world would end. Or maybe the just ran out of room on the stone . . . maybe it's when they come back... |

It isn't speculated by ancient prophecies. It is speculated by people reading them. Besides, the only great change is the beginning of a new b'ak'tun in the Mayan calendar. Even the existing Mayan's laugh at the western concept of 'end times.' So no, nothing is going to happen, just like 2000. Exactly...You should hear the Mayans talk about it down here. |

It is true that the us government has underground bunkers built to protect key personnel in the event of a disaster/war. Thats about the extent of the factual information in that entire video. The rest is simply dramatization and repetition of those facts, spun in such a way as to (wrongly) imply certain, impending collapse of our civilization and diabolical agendas. What a waste. These people are capitalizing on our gullibility and our fear. One of the the other links tries to draw in remotely possible disasters over the next few decades and connect them somehow to the 2012 myth. The 2012 idiots are getting ready for the fact that nothing cataclysmic is likely to happen in 2012 - after 2012 they will say "Oh, no, see - we really didn't predict anything cataclysmic in 2012. What we really meant was that we would have solar storms in 2013 which threaten our electronics, or maybe we really just meant that something cataclysmic might happen at some point in the future." |

Who remembers the 'Grand Alignment of the Planets' in the '80s ... ? That's when all the planets orbiting the sun were gonna be aligned in a straight line (remember the opening shot of '2001: A Space Odyssey'?). The 'We're All Gonna Die!' crowd was running around in sheetless panic because the 'combined gravity' (wtf?) of the planets would rip Earth apart ... right. Just like Jeebus was supposed to come back when the Millerites showed up TWICE in that empty field to meet him and he failed to show ... There's nothing so stupid that large numbers of people won't fall for it ... '2012' is just the latest in a long line of hoaxes ...
