I have a way I speak in comfortable surroundings and a way I speak on my job too,,,,who cares... you cant go to Britain speaking portugese and expect them to understand you. Part of communication is using a common language.


and I dont see this as 'payback' either. There were REAL issues and real concerns and complaints raised in the last Bush election about people being turned away from voting,, these men went there as citizens LEGALLY to observe rather this happened and they had just the same right to do that as those who went with CAMERAS trying to observe THEM.

Actually in Europe in general, you are more likely to be understood speaking another language than English because they are more multi lingual there.

I was only referring to Brittain (where I lived for a while), not all of Europe where different countries are as close as our states to each other and cross language would be expected to occur quite naturally,.

The friends I have had in London were at least bi lingual. It is just more encouraged there I think.

yeah, London is like the New York City of England,, probably more multicultural than other areas where cross language would also occur more naturally

I think that is a personal view not a reality.

No, Harry Reid said he won because he could turn his Negro dialect off around white people. Uncle Tom is a black guy who act's white around white people, so what Harry Reid did was call him an Uncle Tom without actually saying the term.

It would only be whites who have a guilty conscience or something, that would have been concerned about this. Because I did not find it intimidating nor would it have made me afraid to vote.

I find ANYONE brandshing a weapon intimidating, I don't care if their White, Black, Yellow, Brown, Pink, Blue, Purple. A weapon is a weapon. You would think differently if you had a weapon pulled on you as I have had on me.
