General Discussion, and chit chat?
It seems a lot of 'general' topics get moved over to chit chat...what is the difference? |

General Discussion topics seem to actually have a point.... chit chat usually end up running of on crazy tangents lol

General Discussion is for anything that does not belong anywhere else. This is so clear, hahahaha

I think it is because there are less Generals in chit chat. There seem to be more Privates there. Rank has its priviledges.

Thats true, but remember, on here, they don't allow you to get rank. Gawd I love the english language !

If you look at the layout we have the newbies on top. I like that since the newcomer is always the most important people and way at the bottom we have the bugs. This lets us know that the bugs are the least important people. It kind of makes sense if you hold your mouth right and warp your mind with just the right amount of tension.

so I see a lot of mods move things out of the general discussion area into chit chat...how can I get a topic moved from chit chat to general discussion? because I haven't seen that...well at least not yet.

Hummmmmmmmm let me see Chit Chat is for those Threads that are basically just talking and no real subject more like friends sitting around shooting the bull........
Where General is for all those Topics that actually does not have a forum they belong in... But........actually ask a question that all can answer. Within a question form or one specifically asked about what they described .......... If they are just more or less a statement or a rant and all I'm bored threads then those go to Chit Chat for you really are not asking a question just stating a fact or how you feel....... And why is it most of the threads are moved from General to Chit Chat instead the other way around.........A big percent of those posting actually look and try to put things in the right Forums. But.......regardless there will be several that still have to be moved. Or they just post it in General in order to get more to comment to their topic. Figuring the mods can move it later 
Ohh and yes they have been moved from chit chat to general just does not happen that often. But actually since this is a question only the Mods or Admin can answer since they are the ones that know it should be in the Help Forum. Therefore it has a place to be posted instead of within General......... Sooooo does that help in saying why those post get moved more and how it is determined.........Actually some threads could go either way if so then it is up to the mod which forum they go with it. |

General discussion has a solid topic...which usually gets so badly contorted that almost all of the threads would make the eventual move to chit-chat...depends on how much substance is there I guess. *shrugs*
