Yes, actually, it does. One of those little niceties that make a difference.

To some it does, but not to all....Cutsie and prim and proper are not for all people...Not saying go into the beast mode, but cut the meat and eat it is good, but the put the knife down then the fork, and chew 33 times, swallow, pick up the napkin with your left hand, pat the corners of the mouth, gently, replace the napkin, then pick up the fork first, then the knife and repete.....Not for everyone...

The only time is makes a big difference is when $500 is being spent on the meal – or when at a charity event that is $1,200 per plate. I’ve seen some boorish behavior at these times. Many times because of too much booze.

A person who is not comfortable is one thing but a person who acts out to mask their insecurities are when the problems arise.

I think the difference is naiveté vs. resisting to learn something new.

I guess, I have been on the other side of the fence for too long.....If you wanted to become an officer, you had to go to, what us lowly grunt soldiers called....Knife and fork" school.....You learned how to be more than the others....Great if you were in that realm and of that ilk....I was just a soldier, but a damn good one....The officer that I pulled out of hell didn't give a rats azz, how i held my knife or fork at the awards presentation...Only the higher up, that looked down, and not on an equal level as myself....

Your fingers!!! It would be a crime to eat wings with utensils - or ribs.

NOTE: I am a vegetarian but I support meat eaters and their right to chow down. tongue2

Just eat your soup with soup spoon and not a regular spoon, use a steak knife to cut your steak and don't use a steak knife to eat butter your toast, and if you get a hamburger the heck with the utensilswhoa slaphead

Those soups are more like shovels. I use the teaspoon.
