This headline made my jaw drop, and my head spin:

Powerful ‘lightsabre’ on sale for £135
At last, every Star Wars fan’s dream has been realised – a working ‘lightsabre’ has gone on sale.

But of course we don't have the technology for this. Its just a laser:

I mean, who confuses a laser with a lightsaber???

I think its pretty cool actually.
And if they can make that, then theres the start.
Now to wait for version 100 or so, that is actually
made to be safe.

a M-16 rifle can shoot 1/8 to a 1/4 mile, (500 yard or 1500 feet) which one would you rather have pointed at you from 400 yards?

I actually see this as a positive thing.

Oh, it's a good thing. I can just see some bad things happening with it in the wrong hands. Of course bad things happen when a steak knife is placed in the wrong hands as well. I was just saying.
