WHEW

Just finished my SEVEN job applications required to apply for per week!

I am really tired of being on UI. My Type A personality is kickin in here ..


I do very much appreciate the assistance UI has provided for me and my children since being included in the huge layoff at my last company, but I would like to have a REAL JOB now.


I DO have a phone interview with a high-profile non-profit org on Monday .. for a Regional Events Manager. My skill set is absolutely spot on for the position. Even uses my negotiation and networking skills. And I could work out of the home, with 30% travel.

My kinda career!!

I'm keeping you in my prayers that you get the job! Think positive thoughts. Just keep telling yourself that THIS is MY position and your confidence will shine through in your interview. Keep us posted on how it goes!

Here we have to do 3 jobs per week which we can fax or even e-mail our applications in.........due to most employers now days prefer you do so first then they will contact you back...

Ya 3 a week is child's play


And I do all mine online. It used to be just 5 a week, and they never once asked for my records. I didn't have to 'Prove' the job search until I was at this level.

I've been on UI for 18 mos though. Went thru regular UI, then Tier 1,2,3 and now on SEB (State Extended Benefits) ..

It's at this level that they require you turn them in to them IN PERSON .. so they can be sure you are REALLY alive and able to work. HA HA HA

I know 18 months is a long time but for that perfect job to come along sometimes it can be worth the wait.

Well the one thing they really DON'T care about is the mom hat LOL ..

in fact women with children is seen as a black mark due to kid's schedules, illnesses eetc ..

Exactly! That's why I haven't even THOUGHT about anything beyond the PERFECT job .. even in this economy. I'm NOT settling ... (well unless I'm starving LOL =)
