Just thinkin about how my life is soooo "right" RIGHT where I am ..
Yes I've been out of work for 18 mos. Yes we've had some really tough times. BUT .. I've moved into a much nicer house for less $$$ I've been available for my daughter's wedding and now my precious first grandaughter I'm living below my means for the first time in my life I've just watched my youngest daughter graduate high school and was able to spend the last year home & available to be there when she needed me & take care of her 'senior year' needs and basically had time to find "ME" Are you happy in your season? Do you know you are where you are supposed to be RIGHT NOW? |

I have to admit that it is amazing when priorities shift from work to yourself and family. I haven't quite learned the place I should be but more the places I should not be........

yeah i'm doing good. have found that doing landscaping and odd jobs and working with my hands is more fun then working for someone else at just barely above minimum wage, i like being my own boss there is more room for growth.

Isn't that the truth. I really have to rethink being my own boss. It might be just what I need .. thanks for the reminder |

I'm doing what I've always done and finding that I'm starting to look forward to retirement.. Since I probably have 30 years left to work I'm starting to look into starting my own business and running something that is mine rather than someone else's...
I my career, I'm not liking my season a lot of days.. In life, I love my season most days.... |

Best wishes to you. |

sometimes the things that happen force us to take the time to sit back and really smell the roses and enjoy what we DO have.
when we're so wrapped in our jobs, deadlines, goals, etc., it's hard to notice the important stuff right before our eyes. i've found that 'living below your means' means i'm focusing on things that are much more valuable to me than fancy shmancy vacations, square footage larger than my monthly salary, etc. i've no idea where i'm supposed to be, but i'm exactly where i want to be. i'm at a good point in my life and am relaxed and content. |

Mine will begin soon. your season? Over the past couple of years, my life has been a voyage of discovery. I have a close family, and I came back home for a bit to be with them and to move along to the next chapter in my life. So yeah, in a manner of speaking, my season is beginning again in August when I return to school. I have realized that my life has more of a purpose to it, and that even through the tough few years I have endured, I know I will be better off in the long run. Like my Mom said, sometimes you have to fall and hit bottom to get your life back together and move forward....as a better person and with more of a purpose for your own life (and the lives that you will touch). |

I feel ya brother. Sounds like a good path. I still remember my Mom saying "Oh no she didn't". She is 85............. |

I believe I'm right where I'm supposed to be, not sure all the reasons why, what, how, when...I am where I am to be right now, so how could I not love it..

fade i did the same thing.. with a good paying job.. i lost touch.. of life.. ive since decided to never do that again.. however i dont regret what i did for doing what i did also did some things for me.. made me reach some goals.. however without that job my goals have changed a bit as well.. we all need a touch of different things in our lives.. and just need to do what is important to us at the time.. which is all meaningful! its good to have to explore i must say!!!

I believe the #1 season or situation has to revolve around relationships. Life is incredibly short. Especially when you get to the end of it.
I remember asking my daddy, at 89, as he lay on his death bed, if he felt good about where he was. He said "Honey girl .. I still have soooo much to do" .. Now for Daddy that was a BIG statement, cuz at his memorial service he had 300 attendees. At 89 that is a BIG statement in itself. He never stopped BEING. He never stopped CARING. And most importantly, in his life, he never stopped LIVING. |
