Topic: Rand Paul condones racism? | |

Rand Paul is an idiot, just like his dad. They need to be committed, not elected. You're joking right |

Rand Paul is an idiot, just like his dad. They need to be committed, not elected. Republicans and Democrats alike should be run out of office. I like Rand and hope more with inexperience (at backroom deals and handshakes)that will listen to their constituents will actually emerge. Apparently, his state likes him. |

With any luck at all, people will begin to ignore the 'party' label and vote for people who share their VALUES. The presence of a (D), (R), or (I) behind a name is a poor reason to give them our vote. 'Principle Over Party' works for me ...

I saw and liked Rand Paul before I even knew who his father was. I just liked him and what he said and how he said it. He stands for freedom. I hope he remains strong in that direction. |

There are things I disagree with RP about, but on balance, his instincts are right. Now it's time to watch and see if he becomes one of the 'insiders' he ran against. We'll need to watch ALL of the people we vote in this November, too ... words are cheap. |

He is either a babe in the woods with high ideals or a very good liar who knows how to fake sincerity. LOL |

If you want a guide to go by that's gonna be everywhere come election time and before (in their ads), just look at the people you KNOW aren't anywhere NEAR the goals espoused by the Tea Party movement or Conservatism and see how the most unlikely people attach the words 'Conservative' and 'Republican' to themselves. I've seen that here in TN during our last round of elections. It'll just get worse and more confusing as the November elections draw near. If we let ourselves be fooled by the 'professional political class', we can't complain later about bein' suckered. Hold their feet to the fire BEFORE pulling the lever next to their name, and let 'em know you'll be watching 'em AFTER they're in office to make sure they live up to their promises. Don't be shy about tellin' 'em they, too, can be a 'one-termer' ... pressure WORKS.
