The high school cliques here used to be much more noticeable. Now it doesn't seem like they're around much these days. When I first joined it was very difficult to be accepted by one particular group of members. The tone you speak of, Emily, and some of those members are not active anymore or rarely active. I also feel the clique stigma is gone from Mingle. There are some members who won’t reply to a post I’ve made in their topics or who flat out ignore me but I don’t think that is a “clique” issue; they probably just don’t like me. 
I like the addition of the “New Member” forum. It makes it easier for new members to introduce themselves and warm up to forum posting.

I remember when I first started posting on the forums. A girl I can't remember observed "Oh my god mingle has Cliques". She seems like a genious at this point. Any thought? Is this online high school?.......... 
As to on here,,,YES,,there is a new clique every six monthes on here. And as THAT implies a certain GROUP of posters who STICKS together to be GOOD OR BAD,,with new folks who they don't show an OPENESS to invite into it... I HAVE seen this happen here many times,,but most times its an OVER-LOOK,,,more than a true NOT SEE,,as to why MANY might FEEL THIS HERE But SOME have PICKED-ON some, as through THEIR certain GROUP of friends,,and then THATs JUST WRONG,,for anyone to just JOIN,,anothers thought just because THEY felt that way toward someone else....I DON'T DO CLIQUES!!! I do that STAND OUT LONER TRENDY TYPE DUDE...

I am a clique of one. I hang out with myself constantly and am always trying to garner my own aproval.

You are so sweet - but I know not every person is going to like me in life. Actually, life would be boring if everybody like each other. Like me or don't - I am just me! I don't let that affect what I do. In some cases though it causes me to “poke the bear” and get a rise out of people!

There are always going to be groups of friends who stick together and just chat with each other, but yes, cliquishness seems to be gone these days. That's definitely a good thing. I also don't understand how anyone would not like you, Melody! |
