My Birthday is coming up on the 19th and I'll be alone. My family is far away and my best friends have moved to other countries.

What does one do on a Birthday when she's all alone?

Get up early in the morning, with a rich coffee, and go outside before the sun is all the way up....Find a very comfortable place to sit and watch the beauty of a morning sunrise...Breath it in, let it overwhelm you....There is no magic pill to make you happy, but give that a try and i hope you find the rest of the day.....................................yours

I intend to, but a sunrise, even a majestic one, can only last for so long; and a special day, spent alone, somehow stretches longer than a vast cloudless sky.

I agree with you that there is no magic pill to happiness. This I found out, seemingly, a lifetime ago. But there will be a day that comes where breathing in the beauty of the world becomes a painful inhalation of awareness.

Roadtrip!! take a drive to somewhere you have never been before. Distract yourself with the unknown. Who knows you may meet some new people.

I just relish one more day of life, reflect on the last year, and then enjoy the day in the best way I can!!

That's happened to me. Perhaps just celebrate with yourself, get a small cake, go out for ONE drink if you drink, get a mani/pedi, reflect on your life and goals, SOMETHING to share with yourself and make it all about you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY in advance!!

Do whatever is going to make you happy.....


Get up early.... sleep in.


Cook in..... eat out.


Bake yourself a cake...... go buy an ice cream cone.



It was tough when I moved out of my parents like 10 years ago to have b-day's alone..... but pretty much have had them that way since. Use the alone time on your birthday to do exactly what you want to do.

In my secret garden hid from view
There is a treasure only for you.
Others just walk past it everyday;
It is invisible and safe that way.
It is covered by vines from sight
And not even detectable in light.

Well my birthday coming up
Gonna get all my favourite snacks ,movie &Music
Relocate to my bedroom spend the entire day there .

I relocated across the state after my divorce and I feared my first birthday "alone". Fortunately I had met a few friends here who took me out. It turned into being one of my better birthdays.

Spend the day doing whatever it is you want to do. Meet some friends for lunch, get dressed up and go get your nails done, go for a drive, rent some movies, go for a walk, go to the museum,

I would spend mine waking up late and going to the lake with a book.

Whatever you do, just do it with your head up high and a smile on your face.

I'm almost always alone on my birthday (so far) because it's so close to the winter holidays. I always have work to do, so it's not a big deal to me.

It'd be the perfect day to do something you've always wanted to do but didn't dare to, for whatever reason. Could be because you didn't think you deserved it, it cost too much, or it was just an off-the-wall crazy idea. Then go do it!

I spent a bucket load of money a few years back for a ticket to a Bruins hockey game, nearly front row; I was close enough to see the spit fly and feel the boards shake when they slammed into the corner by our goalie. The B's won the game on an overtime goal by Chara! Then I retired to the completely silent luxury hotel room I booked for the night and enjoyed the time away from my teenager, making for one very happy birthday girl. Sure, I was alone, but I had a blast, and I'll never forget it!

Go wild. Do something you normally wouldn't. Celebrate your life, you deserve it! Happy early birthday!

what I do, everyday anyway , is awake , put my fingers next to my juglar vein , feel the pulse rushing thru my finger tips, and begin my grin , as another truly wonderful day has begun :)
then its whatever my fancy is , if I know my kids are not around , I do ....whatever .. enjoy
