Topic: An Observation | |

I went up to the pub tonight to watch the game. I was amazed at the number of folks that had there heads buried in there cell phones. I thought it was weird............

Go figure! Out in a public place where one can meet others in person, yet stuck to their phones.

Yeah, seems people are lost without them. I gave mine up a year ago, don't miss it at all!

I went up to the pub tonight to watch the game. I was amazed at the number of folks that had there heads buried in there cell phones. I thought it was weird............ I honestly don't know. There were like 20 people in the pub. I swear 15 never stopped looking at there phone. I don't want to be in touch like that........ |

I don't have a house phone at all anymore. Only got solicitations and requests for donations.
But, I don't like being on the phone THAT much and don't often drive while talking, and it's illegal in school zones anyway, thank goodness. Had to get on my ex for texting while driving and I think it should be illegal to talk while driving as I see it really has made some people get in accidents or nearly get in accidents. But, I do like the cell. My kid and I can keep in better contact, like if she has to stay late from school or whatever. And it is handy if you can't find someone you are meeting somewhere, or if you need to call for directions somewhere or get stranded, or need to make last minute changes to plans, 911 at your fingertips. Lots of advantages. But as with anything "too conveninet" it's easy to get addicted and abuse. |

I just thought it was awfully strange. I am a bit out of touch however...... |

I just don't understand. If you go out to have some kicks? Why do the same thing you could at home? Hell I never take my phone with me unless I'm driving.
