I went up to the pub tonight to watch the game. I was amazed at the number of folks that had there heads buried in there cell phones. I thought it was weird............smokin
I've seen this too and am guilty of being too much on my phone from time to time - but talking loudly or texting excessively while you are with friends or loved ones -is just plain rude!!!noway

I agree. Texting constantly is something I just can't understand. People actually enjoy this? I don't get it.........smokin

Some folks just do not have any manners. I went to Wal-Mart last week, to cash my check, and pick up a few grocery items. Now, when i go to the store, i don't go to stand around and window shop..I know what i want, and i want to get my goods and go.

So, at the service desk, standing in line..there was a lady ahead of me. She was too busy texting to sign the refund slip. I couldn't help myself..i said it out loud.."this is just rude as hell" The couple in line behind me agreeing, and the woman was oblivious to the conversation, and finished her text...Myself, i do not like people in my way, and i certainly do not want to delay anyone else. It's called common courtesy, and some folks need to work on that.

I don't have a house phone at all anymore. Only got solicitations and requests for donations.
But, I don't like being on the phone THAT much and don't often drive while talking, and it's illegal in school zones anyway, thank goodness. Had to get on my ex for texting while driving and I think it should be illegal to talk while driving as I see it really has made some people get in accidents or nearly get in accidents.
But, I do like the cell. My kid and I can keep in better contact, like if she has to stay late from school or whatever. And it is handy if you can't find someone you are meeting somewhere, or if you need to call for directions somewhere or get stranded, or need to make last minute changes to plans, 911 at your fingertips. Lots of advantages. But as with anything "too conveninet" it's easy to get addicted and abuse.

 Agreed on all counts. It's illegal in CO to text from phones while driving & I couldn't agree more.

I don't have a landline anymore, and if I didn't have my cell I'd be wayyyy outta touch with all my kids, family, friends yada yada.

What I hate is bluetooth cuz you think someone is talking to you and it's their earpiece rofl rofl rofl rofl

People who can't put their phones down and interact with the people around them are just lonely excuses for human beings.

I don't even know how to text somebody????????

Me either !!!
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..

Me neither...I tried once or twice and it took me forever to do it. I don't get the big deal with texting or having a cell phone on your ear 24/7.... and people in the store lines talking the whole time, rude and annoying, in my opinion.

Well maybe we should just skip learning
texting.
Go right to sexting.
I believe this is an area in which we
could excel.blushing

They say it's never too late to learn something new...I'll start with that and after I master it then I'll jump to phone sex. Something else I never could do..I've tried, I crack up and can't stop laughing...
You wanna sext first or should I? laugh

Hmmmm.
Fortunately, I had the good sense
to turn OFF my texting abilities.
Which, I believe, is the 4play for
sexting??
