They put out a special release every year 7/7/07, 8/8/08 and so on. I was there for the 8/8/08 but this year I just got a few bottles of the 9/9/09

Guinness in Ireland tasted sooooooooo much better than what they sell here in the states. 2 pints and was a happy camper, but this is coming from a lightweight. All I know is I ended up in Scotland before the weekend was over.
I was also introduced to Amaretto and coke. Which equals a drink that tastes like Dr. Pepper that makes you feel so good ![]() |

I don't like dark/heavy beers. I like lighter tasting stuff. I know I like wheat beer as well. I know that's not very specific, but any suggestions you can give me?

One of my favorite wheat beers is actually domestic. Mothership Wit by New Belgium Brewery (Ft Collins, CO) ![]() Or also with a little more flavor and probably easier for you to find in the NE is Sam Adams's Cherry Wheat... It has just a hint of cherry flavor, not over powering at all. ![]() |

Thanks! I'll look around for them. I've been enjoying Sam Adam's Summer Ale lately.

For people who like lighter beers I would also recommend white ales, like this one by Unibroue (Canada)

Thanks! I'll look around for them. I've been enjoying Sam Adam's Summer Ale lately. I love Sam Adams brews but sometimes they are a little too "hoppy" for casual beer drinkers. |

My favorite would definitely be Belgian style ales... pale, golden or dark love em all ![]() I absolutely love Belgian beers. I'd move there just for the beer. My favorite would have to be Hoegaarden, a Belgian White. It doesn't look too good when poring it, it looks clear, but it's a great wheat beer. |

If anyone is looking for a good cheap beer, try making yourself. I use a simple kit called Mr. Beer, it produces some great beer. They have just about every kind of beer, and you can mix and match recipies to create your beer. I'm thinking about making a blueberry hefawissen.
