I am thinking about my daughter-I had a dream where her current 17 yr old self was there as well as the beautiful toddler she was.Everything was so clear in the details of her younger self-The curls in her blonde hair-the big blue eyes. I just wanted to hold her and never let her go.The reality is far different-she is currently locked up in D.H. for violating probation.For five yrs I have fought to straighten this child out.The light was at the end of the tunnel.She went from an angry, danger to herself,drug user to being sobor for almost a year.So close to being out of the system-then her stupid friends(the same ones who got her to use) that she refuses to give up, land her back in trouble.She is still sobor thank-goodness,but there she sits.I die alittle everytime she is in there-and considering she has been in there 77 days over the last two years that is alot.I had to let this out somewhere-to all the people who have watched loved ones struggle with drugs and alcohol-I shed a tear for u today.
