how old is too old or too young for dating each other...is there a certain distance between age that is right, whether the woman is the older one or the male is the older on in the relationship? would love to hear opinions on this

I just wanna know one thing.....can the chick cook? Oh, and she can't be too young. I mean, I don't want to be watching Gossip Girl every week and then having to blog about it.whoa

There isn’t a formula. There are, however, considerations.

In my case, I won’t date a guy unless he can legally drink alcohol. After that then it’s about maturity, integrity, and whether they can stand on their own two feet.

I’ve met guys older than me who are “a mess”; conversely, I’ve met younger guys who have it all together!

It’s preference as well as having the same life goals. winking

I tend to date guys 12-15 years younger. It works for me! drinker

Rules are boring, date whoever you want. My limit is 21 and over, me and older guys don't want the same things in life.....

well......I like older guys so yeah.
for the most part...I find guys younger than me very annoying.
noway ah, I shouldn't say that...I have a lot of guy friends who are younger, and they're alright...I'd never date them...

but they're not awful. laugh

It depends on the people I think.

i date people to whom i'm attracted and their age becomes just a character trait they happen to possess.

i've dated men about 15 years my senior and 10 my junior. i have found, generally speaking, that older men tend to treat women more feminine, more courteous, more like a woman rather than the buddy feeling that comes with dating younger. i have no problem with old-fashioned values and actually prefer traditional roles within a close relationship.

i try to mind my own business with regards to other people's dating habits but yeah i tend to snicker when i see really old ladies with men in their early 20's and/or vice versa and certainly hope my own children find people close to them in age.

the best one ive heard so far is this girl that said that she figures it out this way....you take your age, divide by two and add seven...thats as young as you should go...sounded kind of interesting...but is that right?

that's the formula for calculating what is socially acceptable in terms of dating someone younger.

and it's a pretty good approximation IMO.

Seems awfully arbitrary. Why not take your age, multiply by 16, then divide by 8.825, add x (the orbital velocity of Pluto), bake 55 minutes at 400 degrees, and subtract the square root of negative 11?

To me, the whole age issue is irrelevant. You're dating a person, not a set of statistics. It's like saying I wouldn't date someone who had the wrong shoe size or license plate number.

I know there are always people who say "Age is important because of life experience." I don't see it that way, because everybody has had different life experiences, even people who are exactly the same age.

I'm finding out. Quite late in life that

it really does not mean all that much really!

It's the maturity of those involved I'm finding out

I still think though that it really should not matter except to the two involved

it's still a learning process for me!!
I agree 100 percent with exceptions,, only to a paerson being tweny or more years YOUNGER than their other,,,THAT WILL cause
MUCH THOUGHT,,if THEY wanted forever to share their lives with..
Because At 70 and 50,,or 65 and 45,,,,noway THATS GOT TO BE A BAD
visual,,and a living MORE out of GIVING,,than returned LOVE back,,
Just MY OPINIONS!!! flowerforyou
