Yeah I stopped dealing with most of mine... I keep reading on here lately the comments about knowing if a person is good on not b/c of their relationship with their family...

Exactly. Personally, I don't trust a man who's all caught up with his family, they have a tendency to let them influence their lives and decisions. And then on the other hand, you have people who bash their family to strangers and that's another turn off. I used to talk to this guy years ago and the main reason I broke off contact was because he was overjoyed over his sister's bad life. I was like, dude, you barely know me, wtf???? I cringe to imagine what he said about me if he ever mentioned me.....

There should be a happy medium, not too wrapped up in them, yet not wanting to pull a Lizzie Borden either.

I agree.. I can't stand some of them but I don't wish or relish the bad for them..... I also don't discuss them...

He was weird, he was mad because she got the "better end" of their parents' divorce. The dad got custody of her and the mom got custody of him and another kid. And the mom was broke and the dad had money, so the daughter had a pretty good life, I guess.

He was a bitter pill, I'm not all sweetness and light all the time, but I hope I don't literally drag people into despair when they talk to me.

Yeah that's just wrong.. What's more wrong is that the children weren't treated the same by both parents... That's scary parenting...

I wonder why the dad didn't pay more child support or something. Or the guy could have been lying. He was just so bitter. He hated everyone, rich people, his sister, it was pathetic. Then he thought everyone wanted him, told me this really stupid story about how some 80 year old lady hit on him in a library....she was in hot pants and a Hooters shirt and everything. I was like ummmm, okay.....

what an idiot...

i admit that i've seen both. mainly just to see what all the fuss is about and i don't get it. and the end of the second one was so gut wrenching that i had to get a script for acid reflux.

I've got a friend who does that. His most recent thing is that his girlfriends (9 hours away) kid sisters (8 and 12), tell him via webcam that they love him. I rolled my eyes at him and told him I get that from the 10 year old boy whose dad comes out every 4 months or so to see dad, because I put him up on the horse. Big whoop. At that age, that's kind of their thing.

Ricky seems to think it's wonderful(?) or impressive (?) that the kiddos are doing this. I'm left wondering if he's so desperate for attention.

I haven't seen the 2nd one yet... I'm going to when it comes out on dvd..

I liked it for the morphing wolves. Otherwise the books are better.

i thought it was already. i saw it at the theater a month or so ago. there's a cinema nearby that shows movies that have been out for a long time for $1.
a friend of mine paid, but we both wanted her money back afterward.
