Topic: Things that we eat how weird are they?...... | |

What could be classified as weird foods you like? One of the "weird" foods or more often then not it's called a "pregnancy craving food" is a peanut butter and pickle sandwich. So I'm curious what are some of your favorites? |

Don't know about 'weird' favs, as everything I eat might be seen as such ...
One friend best summed it up when he opened my frig and queried, "What the h!ll do you eat, anyways?" Lemme think about this and see if anything I eat is normal ... Here's a strange~ish, but DELICIOUS, one: I air pop popcorn, drizzle on olive oil (extra virgin, natch), then herbal sea salt, then toss w/ imported nutritional yeast! YUMMO!!! |

History offers ample evidence of man as an insectivore. The Book of Leviticus, in the Old Testament of the Bible, repeats Moses’s injunction to the ancient Hebrews: avoid eating all insects EXCEPT locusts, crickets, and grasshoppers.
The New Testament, in the Gospel of Mark, tells us that John the Baptist survived in the wilderness by eating locusts and wild honey. See, even 'ol John ate bugs. |

Actually, they are pure, high quality, easily digestible protein! I want to try the larvae taco, bet it rocks ... |

I found some fresh Limburger Cheese yesterday! Yum. Most people have never tried it. Many who have smelled it won't try it.

I was at a restaurant called Molly Goodhead's in Tarpon Springs, FL and they serve all three bi-valves raw, oysters, clams, and mussels. Haven't tried the raw mussels yet, I've only had them cooked.
