curious....I have seen women post how they like younger guys (cougars) and most just say it is their preference and good luck. Why is it different in society for a guy to say they like younger women?

I believe it's b/c when women post that they like younger guys they don't post it and bash men their age... I don't know though that's just my observation....

I don't date middle aged women either. I like outties not innies.

and you have the old cliche of the "dirty old man" that has been around much longer than the "cougar"

I'm glad when older men like younger women, then they don't hit on me.

the way I read the OP was that he was talking about his dating experience. I didn't see it as bashing. I saw others going from the word go to bash him for the OP.

I have seen older women post their own experience with men their age and that is why they date younger.

Cougar seems (in society) to be viewed as a badge of honor...you go girl
while the male Cougars are viewed as perverts or sick.

Cougars aren't viewed any more acceptable than men who date far younger.. If you hear to "go girl" for the women then you'll hear "atta boy" for the men by the same types of people..

No bashing? Um I don't know I'd view the complaints about women in his age group as bashing.. As we'd tell anyone else that posted the same comments "try different types of women, maybe it's the one's you're picking"... Another thing we'd probably say is "um maybe it's YOU, maybe you're not taking responsibility for your part in things not working out"...

I think it goes both ways... Any woman I've seen respond in this thread, I don't think they've been "cougars"....

well I see people saying they feel a hidden agenda or they smell BS. Why does there have to be anything like that? I'm almost 39. I'm not as easy to get along with as when I was younger.

As far as younger women go....my niece is 20 and more mature than a lot of women my age and she is very intelligent

That's why I think some of the women have said something... "Some" middle aged women might not be very mature but not "ALL" middle aged women and therein is the bashing part from what I can see from the responses...
