HAVE YOU EVER MEET SOMEBODY OF THE WEB?IF YES HOW DID IT GO. I've met 9 people from various dating sites. All of them were absolutely horrible, horrible experiences; although one had me fooled for a very long time. That turned out to be the worst of the lot, though. |

I have met some great guys, and also some disappointments. Just stay positive-I think if you hang in there you just may be pleasantly surprised!!!

I've met quite a few people from here and a couple from other sites. All of the ones here with the exception of one went well, and most are still friends. There was only one from another site that went well.

yes, many actually, a few from mingle and others from different social sites (not necessarily "dating" sites). i enjoyed meeting them all really and am still friends with a few for years now. i really don't see alot of difference in meeting on here(other than you meet people from all over online) vs. out in public. as in both cases, take is slow, be cautious and get to know the person.

I talk to the person on the phone after the email thing, then if we agree to meet it's during the daytime in a public place like a bookstore, the mall, or in a coffee house. Also drive yourself. Be cautious. |

I've done it, went okay. You just have to be careful, like anything else in life....

Be cautious. Just tell him you're not ready yet. If he's any sort of decent guy he'll be fine with it. If he's not, then you probably are better of not meeting him anyway. When you are ready, keep it simple and public. |

Be cautious. just say it to him like your saying it now...if his behavior changes as a result, (was nice before, then gets mad or pushy), then that should be a red flag for you roko |

If you're not comfortable meeting someone, don't do it. You're not being mean, you're being cautious and keeping yourself safe. If he gets mad because you show hesitation, screw him, he wasn't worth your time and energy anyway.

Yep, only 12 instead of 9...which should really mean that 12 shouldn't be my lucky number, but I'm a glutton for punishment I guess. |
