For the first time, the president explicitly called on Congress to use a procedural technique that will let the Senate give its final approval with a simple majority vote. He didn't use the word for that technique—"reconciliation"—but characterized the process as a way of calling a simple "up or down vote" that has been used for big bills. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703862704575099561273510680.html Remember, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it probably is a duck!!! |

So what's the problem?

I have good health insurance. Many people don't. I only wish President Obama had done this sooner. Health insurance shouldn't be a "luxury." It should be enjoyed by ALL Americans, just as it is in most first world countries. America needs to stop it's slide into third world status. It's obscene for a few people to enjoy incomes like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet while many people have no health insurance and/or are homeless.

How then do you feel about a man or woman ENJOYING THE FRUITS OF THEIR LABOR? Aye do something about those who have not. But don't do it by stuffing LIVE bodies in the hole in the dam... and striping them of their well made cloak cause yours is homespun. |

'USmale' is not talking about one right to 'enjoy the fruit of one's labor'!!! He's suggesting that the richest country in the world, shouldn't leave its people's health at the mercy of the exclusive control of 'strictly for profit' insurance companies. Nothing wrong with 'for profit insurance companies', but they have a serious conflict of interest, as it should, when it comes to choosing between 'their profit' and 'your heath'!!! |

not to mention that many needing insurance are and have been 'laboring' as hard as anyone else,,,,,

It is most desirable to have a significant majority than just a majority of pluse one,,,but in lieu of that desired income, passing the bill is the point |
