Topic: crap, gotta buy ammunition | |

the local news just reported that we are having a massive coyote overpopulation problem and that the packs have grown to eight to twelve coyotes and are starting to come into town.
thats bad. a pack of eight coyotes is too too many. they will kill children and dogs and cats don't stand a chance |

by the way
its pronounced "Ki oat" not "Kiyotee" |
A few weeks ago I saw 3 of them 500 ft from my front door. Yeow, now I won't let little dog out at night without me.

In the Southwest United States, a "coyote" is a person paid to smuggle illegal immigrants across the border between Mexico and the United States. Snakeheads are smugglers from China who smuggle people into the United States and other Western countries.
Human trafficking differs from people smuggling. A people smuggler will facilitate illegal entry into a country for a fee, but on arrival at their destination, the smuggled person is usually free. Trafficking involves a process of using physical force, fraud or deception to obtain and transport people. Women, who form the majority of trafficking victims, are particularly at risk from criminals who exploit lack of opportunities, promise good jobs or opportunities for study, and then force the victims to be prostitutes. These types of "coyotes" are far more dangerous. |

yeah but they dont come anywhere past the border so they arent so dangerous
imagine walking out to take out the trash and five or six or seven coyotes jump you you will die unless maybe you have a gun I do and I aint goin outside at night without it actually our county pays $20 for every pair of coyote ears you turn in |

I live out in the sandhills quite a ways out of town
I can hear em yappin and howlin every night it does kinda seem like there are more of em and closer in that usual I have a friend with several cats and he lets em breed at will (to keep rattlesnakes down) in a week he'll go from 12 cats to 3 (and back up to 12 a couple weeks later haha) it's the coyotes that get em |

We have coyotes in michigan too! But not that many. Most roam alone.

iyeah ususally they do
and coyote biitches (hahaha it filtered biitches) have to ability to adjust their litters. in lean dry years they'll have one or two pups. In wet prosperous years they's have three to four pups and we've been REALLY wet this year the rule around here is to shoot coyote on sight |

Use a bow. It's a lot quieter, Quietman.
I'm no good with a bow. I keep slapping the crap out of my wrist and dropping it
I have a 12 gauge but its too close in. it'll have to be a last resort in case they pack up on me I'm gonna borrow my best friends 30.06 and see if I can pick em off the sandhills |
30-'06 ammo is expensive to waste on a varmint..... .223 is much cheaper.

prolly right I havent bought bullets in a long time
I have a 22 but I dont know if that would bring em doen at distance and I would hate to wound a animal and let it wander off. and coyotes never come close unless they are attacking and if they are you don'tknow it until too late slinkers and skulkers. I have a extreme dislike for coyotes where I grew up it was no big deal to see dozens of em hanging from the fence rows along the side of the road well that and those bigass catfish mouths that I as a 9 year old could step through with no problem |

I'm in town, and they're returting to claim their land that has been built up over tha last ten years. I live in the old section of town but a few miles away they started building and kept going . Now they're coming back because they're hungry. Same thing for bobcats. They've grabbed babies in peoples backyard (2) in the last few years. Thats what happenes when people don't respect the boundaries of nature. Sorta like BLM slaughtering all the wild horse. Pisses me off royally.
