I don't blame ya JT.... But summer will be here soon enough and then we can all go play outside instead of on the darn puter...

It's never too hot..... |

ok ms kim
doing fine had a second interview and they want me to be a manager its for sears, so i'm in a good mood at the moment i gotta run done to the kitchen for a few be back |
Well, that is good news and can see why you would be in a good mood....
The job situation (loss/lack) has hit hard all over the place.... I count my blessings to be working in this small community that I live in...I know people that have owned their own businesses here that are now working at the Shell station or at Wally-world trying to make ends meet... |
yea, i was in the pawn business and got laid off
that was in november |
I have a small business in mining and explorations that is on hold for now due to the economy...
There are 3 working claims that kept me out in the wilderness for the summer, away from the hustle and bustle...I still have the claims and go out and do the little bit that is required by law each year to keep them but for now they are just hobby claims... Maybe by next year I can get back out there full time...Here's hoping... |

they must have done ok for you before the economy fell apart its surprising, most people think its our economy that fell apart but if you look its a global event |
It sure is a global event...
It was evident (to me) 5 years ago when I was over in Europe selling some of my art work...People would tell me that they liked my work but were too afraid to spend that kind of money for something that they didn't really need....They said that hard times were ahead and that it would take a long while to recover... Looks like they were right... Anyway, if we keep this kind of talk up they will move this to the politics forums and then I really will have a blockade to get through when I come to visit the Man room... |
are they that hard
you can change the subject if you like im gonna have to fix dinner soon anyway i did like europe though, wasnt uncommon to have dinner around 9 or so |
I loved how they shut the stores down about 2pm for an afternoon break...
I really saw this in a little place called La Spezia (sp) in Italy... I was strolling in the market place buying the nights dinner and all of a sudden the shutters were drawn on the stores and people just started filing out into the square for a sit down and a chat... Of course it didn't take me long to get into the swing of that... |
