Worry about nothing, pray about everything!!!

This was at the bottom of an email I received the other day.
This morning I watched a church service on tv that I sometimes watch and the sermon was about the very same thing..
Coincidence ???

Someone is sending you a message. Maybe you should pay attention!

That is ohh, sooo related to the message I heard at church this morning!

(I was only able to be there because my father died this week, we had his memorial yesterday, and I took the weekend off work because of that. I would have been at work, had this not happened at this particular time....so I think I was really in need of hearing this particular message at this time...)

Luke 12:22-23 says that God will always supply the essentials for His people. vs. 24-31 go on to give examples, and to state that our human efforts, apart from God, will not get us far...and that worry is of no use.
A quote which I thought worth jotting down this morning,and for which I wish I had documented the source, is:
"Worry adds no value to your life. It shreds you from the inside out."

And all I can say is that I must have really needed to hear this today.
Because He arranged it, and because it speaks to my heart.

I think the word "worry" implies aimless thoughts, about a problem.
"Praying" about it implies seeking directed goals to a problem.

I will share with you, something I think constantly.


"INTENTION EQUALS RESULTS"

Worrying is borrowed problems. Praying is the hope for the solution to a issue.
Don't Worry be happy.

I read that about 85% of what we worry about doesn't happen. God is my refuge when things get a little overwhelming; also most any other time also.

I worry a lot. Most of it I can't do anything about anyway. God never gives you more than you can handle, even when you youself believe you couldn't take one more thing! God and I have had some very serious conversations about this subject..and He still does things his way.

Its okay. I get mad at God, He can take it, as the saying goes.

I always fear and think the worst,,,,,,then start backwards to the best.....thoughts...of almost ANY life drama,,or event...

I know,,strange huh???,lol

My kids hated the way I always thought in that way,,,,lol
as I would always think to ask them the very most improable
example as to what could have gone to its very extreme example..

Then,,as I then went through each lesser one,,,with them,lol,,as I then reached,,,where THEY were at in their thought processes,,,lol

I love this guy....but haven't a clue what he said!

When I was going through some stuff a while ago..my sister in law..a very religious person, was always telling me God was testing me.Days turned into weeks and weeks into months, finally a couple of years passed and the chit was still happening. One dsy she looked at the sky and said.."ALRIGHT GOD...KNOCK IT OFF...ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!" Eventually he did and let me have some peace..I know he can take my anger 'cause I've thrown it at him many many times!

He's a good heart and really, thats all that matters.

Yes. REALLY know what you're talking about Viv. Was going round and round about Why was this happening and why for so long? Read that book "Why Bad Things Happen to Good People" as a last stretch. I'm so darn hard headed sometimes, while and after, thought alot about what it said. Basically- G. doesn't cause these things but is there with us to see us through them. Hmm. Whole new concept, Free Will. Funny though, it did stop when your SIL said knock it off, right? Sometimes thats what you have to do, challenge whats going on, didn't know that until recently myself. Free Will means you challenge and choose whats right, and fight with that energy, while asking being protected by Grace. God against Evil, white light against dark, positive energy against negative, what ever people believe in. When it all gets to be too much, and can't handle what was given, then ask 'your will not mine be done'. So silly, so clear, sooo simple, and we've simply gotten so far away from it. I know I was, still am alot.
