I don't mind sharing the cost at all. I never thought a guy should be strapped for cash just to date Huh. If I am the one doing the asking ( which is every time because I have yet to come across a woman who would ask a guy out ) then I am the one paying. |

It depends upon how you end up on the date. If the invite was phrased something like 'would you like to go to dinner?" I would expect the one who offered was paying.
If the invite was something like "maybe we could meet someplace for dinner sometime", i would expect the bill left open to be split. I dont mind either way, but in the courtship phase, I prefer the guy pay at LEAST half the time.(especially until we are officially a couple) |

I carry enough to stay safe, just in case. I have had the guy get pushy about wanting sex because he paid. Threw the money in his face, told him to f off and never call again, went next door and gave dad a call. Fortunately it was only that one time. |

I don't do the new math dating of women paying. Things must be different in other parts of the country. I've only learned about this new protocol since I've signed up for dating sites. To each their own.

But now that you mention it I have been talking to someone that I had this same conversation with just last night and he feels the same way you do. Which I will oblige to his wishes if and when we happen to get to that point. But I will offer to leave the tip .........if he refuses I will go from there. Not into making one go against the way they were raised
