Topic: All men are born equal, really? | |
---|---|
OK, I have bipolar disorder and I am struggling perennially just to live a normal life. I am also struggling always to keep my job. It is that tough. I dont have a girl friend and if I fail to get a date in near future I may have to live a boring single life. Then guys are having fun on sites where there are millions of members. They are flirting, dating, cheating and still having fun.
Now I want to believe that all men NOT born equal. |

Were all born equal, the situations, circumstances, challenges, environments, experiences, opportunities and events don't always seem to equal, we always get what we need.

"Equal" is kind of a subjective frame of mind. We all have
to live our lives struggling to find what makes us "us", ie...happy, prosperous, whatever we want, but trying to compare or keep up is a common downfall. Just do what you have to and want to for yourself, work on and improve what you need or want to, accept the rest, and love yourself first. While you're trying to figure out the bad, you might be missing out on finding the good. JMO Hello and welcome. |

Thanks for the insights and warm welcome folks.
Looks like "Count your blessings" is a good proverb :) |

we are not born equal
normal life -- standard life...following the rules, doing what your supposed to do, martingale, ...middle class..2.5 kids... un-normal life -- not following the rules...disruptive, innovative, being un-normal may not be that bad girlfriend -- having one is not all its cracked up to be roko |

We are born equally innocent , our lives are not equal so we end up different individuals, but we were all BORN equal(in my opinion).

We are born equal in the eyes of the law, in the eyes of God or church, as each human having one soul and only one soul, and an original sin to accompany it. We are born equal it the sense that we start from a putrid drop and we end up being a putrid drop, with life sandwiched in in beetween there.
We are not born equal as far as opportunities are concerned, or talents, or handicaps; height, race, color of skin, philosphical tendency, Myers-Briggs learning styles, blood types, DNA structure, congenital diseases, amount of body hair, handwriting, dominant motor skills side. |

Enjoy YOUR life YOUR way. Yeah, you're going to have more intense ups and downs than the average, but that doesn't mean you can't live. |

Gosh, I'm not bi-polar, and maybe I enjoy more dating than you, but frankly, I've been waking up alone for 13 years and I've had struggles at jobs whether it be nasty bosses, back-stabbing co-workers, failure to comprehend my duties, messing up my work, getting sick, petty office rumor mill interferences, etc. Yes, you have an issue that definitely makes it difficult, but it is managable with treatment if you choose to make it work. The rest, son, IS JUST REAL LIFE!!!!

Try not to compare your 'insides' to what you see on the 'outside' of other peoples lives. You will always feel like you are on the losing end. Nothing wrong with an 'ordinary life'. Its one of my aspirations!

men aren't born equal. we are all different. many disorders are genetic, this starts some out at a disadvantage. also, things as arbitrary as one's birthdate can determine his chance of becoming an athlete (those born in january are much more likely to succeed in sports, and even go to college because they are a bit older than their peers and chosen at a young age for better training)
and one's attractiveness is also grounds for opportunity. this world is just not fair. but on the bright side, existence is beautiful and no matter what you are born with, it is also proven that a positive attitude will allow you to reach your potential. :) |

So those born in June would be at an advantage. |

but all babies are helpless until they learn(disability or not), and I dont believe birthdates affect anything conclusively enough to consider that babies are not all equal.

uhmmm... "equal in the eyes of the law" - does not mean we are all born physically, emotionally, intellectually the same...
*sigh*... Good Luck to you!! $.02 |
