I have had the "you can't compare me to the others" which after a while I say "yes, you are right,I really can't compare you because you really are all the same". Exactly. They all tell me "I love everything about you!" when we start out, and then it's "Now I have to CHANGE everything about you!" 3 months later. You could set your watch by it. And yet every one of them claims to be "different" and "unique." |

How many of ya'll have had a man tell you "I am different from any man you have ever met?" I have found it to be a bunch of crap. Every guy I ever dated says that. Yep, they are different alright but not in a good way. LOL |

How many of ya'll have had a man tell you "I am different from any man you have ever met?" I have found it to be a bunch of crap. Yes, and it was true. I hadnt really dated beyond my husband whom I had divorced. Because my husband and I were very young and experienced most of our youth together, I hadnt really 'known' many other guys beyond school friends. This man who said this to me,, actually proved his point many times, in his mannerisms(chivalrous but also dominant), his speech(respectful and intelligent enough to appreciate the wisdom of elders), and , in the intimate department,,, he was a stand out Unfortunately , he did turn out to be just a WEE bit possessive so it didnt work. |

I think the phrase comes after a man says something honest to the woman, and she says something, like "I've heard that one before", or "All men say that, but don't mean it". Because, at that point, the only thing you can say is either, I am different from other men (I am not like those other men who said it and didn't mean it). Or, they didn't mean it, I do.
The problem is that, all of the men who got to the particular woman first and lied, have f***ed it up for the rest of us honest men. So, we are left with 2 possibilities. Don't be honest, or just accept that the woman won't believe you when you are. Either way, trust goes out the window!! |

I've never met anybody like me.
I have to assume if I said it, it would be true. |
|
|
|
If they are that different they shouldn't have to announce it.
It should stand out on it's own.... |
