Topic: Is God an Atheist | |
---|---|
Semantics.
I think the phrasing is quite faulty, but you could try to make that statement. In the eyes of god, he can think he's an atheist. In the eyes of a higher god, he can be considered an atheist by them. The hypothetical god you're referring to has a bunch of scenarios. Is he aware he is god? |

lol you do not know how rediculouse your statement is. He can not be an atheist Cowboy....with faith anything is possible if you're gonna quote, quote the whole thing. He can not be an atheist because atheism is belief that there is no god. And God specifically states who he is, so that would infer he knows he is god and therefore believes in a God and CAN NOT be atheist. |

a without Theos deity Based upon what is in the Bible, God is aware he is God, aknowledges He is God, so I would not consider him Atheist,,he is the THEOS of atheist. MsHarmony...there are those that also do not consider themselves to be Atheist but yet the religious claim that they are....so why wouldn't the same apply to God .... what? there are those born women who consider themself men, but I know I am a woman,,,so......what has one to do with the other? I dont understand the question,, MsHarmony....are you saying that people come out of the womb religious or atheist ... Obviously, those women dont believe they come out either women or men, but are whatever they 'feel' they are. So my point was .. what does what others might believe have to do with what I believe or what God says? MsHarmony....the discussion is not about what God says .....because technically God hasn't said a word ....God could indeed be an Atheist...the thread is asking is he or isn't he and why |

The hypothetical god you're referring to has a bunch of scenarios. Is he aware he is god? Plactic_pancakes....wouldn't Atheism deem all Gods as being hypothetical... also even if God was aware he is God, doesn't mean he is aware that other God may exist other than himself ...the fact that he does not acknowledge the existence of other Gods would make him an Atheist |

And besides that i didn't tell you not to do anything. Nor can i take that ability of you doing anything you want away because of free will. |

Hummmmmm could it not be this is one time the ball falls back on the Atheist for they in fact took that label? TxsGsal...is it really a chicken and egg question....which came first? ..thiesm or Atheism Awwww ya know Funches I'm not going to go head to head with ya on this. For I would be the first to admit that as far as I go the thirst for the knowledge is just not there. I'm one that I believe whole hearted that we should all be able to believe in what ever each person wants too. I would never shun one just because they don't believe the same that I do.... But..........now ya did make me go and look heheh and I did find this meaning. And also took from what I read that some don't see it as a label per-say. Ohh and Atheists is not a religion. ********************************* Atheists will repeatedly tell you that they are not in a religion. A religion is usually defined to include belief in a deity of some sort. Atheism is non-belief in a deity. It isn't necessarily a "belief that there is no God" (though it can be), but is "not believing either way." |

According to the history in the Bible, God did say plenty. He clearly believes in his self as God and this is why , by the strictest definition of the word, he is not an Atheist. MsHarmony..the bible doesn't claim that God said that he doesn't believe in any other Gods...the bible tells you that you better not believe in them |

MsHarmony..the bible doesn't claim that God said that he doesn't believe in any other Gods...the bible tells you that you better not believe in them Hummmmmmmmm even I must agree with you here for is is quoted within the Bible that one is not to believe within the false Gods for he is the only true God. |

God speaks all the time, unfortunately alot of people don't listen. Cowboy...or perhaps there are those that don't hear voices he doesn't speak to us in words per say. That is why people have a conscence. Our conscence is God speaking to us. That is why when you're doing or about to do something wrong people have a feeling inside of them that it is wrong. That is God speaking to us. |
