"irreverently lays out the case that Jesus Christ never existed." "In this critically acclaimed film, you will discover: The early founders of Christianity seem wholly unaware of the idea of a human Jesus. The Jesus of the Gospels bears a striking resemblance to other ancient heroes and the figureheads of pagan savior cults. Contemporary Christians are largely ignorant of the origins of their religion Fundamentalism is as strong today as it ever has been, with an alarming 44% of Americans believing that Jesus will return to earth in their lifetimes. From exposing the hidden history of Christianity to lampooning the bloody excesses of Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ (which caused Gibson to attempt legal action against the documentary), The God Who Wasn't There pulls no punches. Directed by award-winning filmmaker (and former Christian) Brian Flemming, The God Who Wasn't There includes stimulating interviews with: Sam Harris, author of The End of Faith and Letter to a Christian Nation. Robert M. Price, Jesus Seminar fellow and author of The Incredible Shrinking Son of Man. Alan Dundes, Professor of Folklore at the University of California at Berkeley. Richard Carrier, historian and author of Sense and Goodness Without God. Barbara & David P. Mikkelson, authors of the Urban Legends Reference Pages at snopes.com and many others." I'd like to see that. However, if its anything like the religion information given in Zeitgeist, its not very reliable.

That is because Christianity isn't just a religion, it's the only truth. And yes this information and following of God was here before Jesus, because Jesus came to fullfill what is now the old testiment and give us the new testiment. |

His true God given name from the dead sea scrolls (unchanged) is Yehushua Ha Mashiach. King James gave HIM his man-given name of 'Jesus' when he translated, changed, and canonized the KJV bible in the year 1611, hence KJV 1611. In Matthew 1:21 you'll see HIS name is in all capitalized letters, that's becaused it was changed. God HIMSELF left His throne and came to earth to be born in flesh, and that was HIS name. Our Creator in flesh. His existence is in the Universe created. Behind EVERY design, there's a designer. The heavens are full of designs.

View trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73_IjNPmIEI Just another "I hate Christianity" worthless post that isn't worth anyones time reading let alone debating.Followed by a equally worthless movie that was so bad it never even made to the movie theatres. The passion of the Christ meanwhile made $611,899,420 worldwide and was shown in 3,408 theaters. The Christian bible is holds the worlds record for the most published and most sold book in history.Ancient Christian pages and bibles are also the most physically, and accurately sources of historical evidence than any other book in the history of the world.Even time itself(BC Before Christ)is based on Jesus's existance. One of these days I may actually see a topic by a Atheist that is worth something other than a chuckle and a sigh.I'm not counting on it though. |

"irreverently lays out the case that Jesus Christ never existed." well let's look at this logically .....since there is no dispute that humans do exist and that humans have names, then it is possible that humans existed that either called their self Jesus or that others may have called Jesus since it's only a human with a name and through-out history pertaining to mythology, stories have been spread among the people that Gods do sneak into the rooms of humans and take sexual advantage of Virgins so it's perfectly natural in those biblical days that a human named Jesus could have believed or perhaps fantasied that he was the offspring of such a union unfortunately Jesus did nothing more than speak in easily mis-interpretable parables that may have suggested or cause others to assume that he could be more than the average human and since according to the belief that everyone is supposedly the sons of daughters of God then it's perfectly natural for a human named Jesus to claim to be the son of God but for a human to claim that the God had to lower itself (no pun intended)just to create him specifically is hubris and therefore blaspheme |

Jesus ate and drank..something humans do not eternal beings. Jesus dint know what a fig tree was...shouldnt a creator know what his creations are? Jesus spoke in parables and metaphores..God always spoke directly...Jesus told his followers there was one God, their God and HIS God, and most importantly...Jesus prayed to God before every miracle, before his execution, and during his alleged execution. any christian want to explain this? |
