I saw a cat get run over yesterday and was bummed out over it til I gabbed with a server at Starbucks and found out he was an Iraq War vet who spent a year in combat and has been struggling in therapy for the last 2 years since he got back.
Imagine his reaction had I mentioned I was down in the dumps over a stray cat getting hit by a car. |

spent the afternoon..snowshoeing on part of the river...up and down the riverbanks when there was open water...saw a waterfall out of the mountain...swallows nests...riverrocks shaped like a whale.....sat on driftwood for a break..in the middle of the river....sipping water on the water....icicles edging ice...water lace.....sun dipping in and out of the afternoon....I am pink cheeked and feeling a lovely tired.

I had a bad case of the trots last night which did its damage before I could get to the restroom at the Marathon. To top it off, I had no time to spruce up before going over to the shelter before all the good spots are taken.
