I collect rocks and gemstones. And get teased about my box of rocks. I have a honking big piece of smokey quartz that a friend brought back from Scotland. A chunk of raw opal another friend sent from West Virginia, turquoise, amethyst, garnet, assorted quartz stones etc. etc. My favorite is the pietersite (tempest stone) that a friend in Colorado sent me many years ago.

Yeah, I just tend to stick my tongue out at them and tell them to bugger off. LOL! I like my rocks, and try to have them artfully set up to look at. I collect them wherever I go, whenever they catch my eye, like folks do with stuff on the beach. Though in fairness, it's a decent size box. LMAO! |

I used to hide rocks in my girlfriend's car (she was my girlfriend at the time). She thought I was teasing her, but it the best way I knew to say she was as real to me as the world.
Hehe. One time I put a boulder in the back of her F-150. She was SO pissed. |

Yeppers to both, use and looks, though it's usually the look of them that catches me. I've got a lovely snowflake obsidian wand and a red jasper wand. The other gemstones, of course, for their various uses. The Pietersite/Tempest stone is supposed to absorb chaotic emotions, and I tend to carry that on me almost at all times, especially if work is crazy. |
