Heck, he sent Gonzales to the AG's hospital death bed to get him to sign a warrantless phone tap order.
When he was waylaid by an alert acting AG, he just signed the order without him.

What in the BLUE HELL does that have to do with what is going on RIGHT NOW??? Absolutely nothing except one more way for the Dems to excuse their Anti American behaviors. " When things are going right...BLAME BUSH " It's realy, REALLY getting old.

This breaks no rules,
strips no rights from the people, and

There really isn't any sense to include the Anti-American Party.
Every time there is a vote they vote no, and they do nothing up to that vote but delay it, and attempt to obstruct it.

They have no interest in helping "the people", only in helping their sponsors, Insurance lobbyists. So why include them?

No sense...other than the fact that they are completely disregarding the way things have been done since the country was founded. They are completely and utterly destroying the idea of " checks and balances " that our founding fathers laid forth 200 plus years ago.

This is getting more and more ridiculous by the day.

do you really think Hell is blue?

that would be kinda soothing after a hard day of damnation and teeth gnashing

makes me wonder what would be said if the Republicans wanted to do this to the Democrats?think

Alright, I concede this one. It's the wrong thing to do. But I hope they do it really well. Imagine a democrat agreeing with a Republican? Well, there you have it Reps. I'll give you just this one.

JAG...I see what you are saying...but even if they are in the country then couldn't the same apply? It reminds me of an old song about not letting one play in their reindeer games laugh vote with us or you can't vote at all. How is that democracy?

It isn't. But that is completely irrelevant to the Democrats currently in power.

Remember the " We live in the greatest country in the world. I hope you'll join me in changing it. "???

THIS is the change in the " Hope and Change " platform.

U.S. president Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) defined democracy as:
«Government of the people, by the people, for the people»

so by not letting the opposition vote...they can't represent the people that voted for them.

Silence the opposition seems to be a trend lately

Yep. And just look around at how many people are completely willing to allow HALF OF THE COUNTRY to be completely and utterly ignored in the name of " change ".

It speaks volumes about the mindset in this country and it saddens me.

The thing is...it doesn't matter in the slightest if the Reps are going to agree or not.

The whole point is that they HAVE to be allowed to have their say.

Republicans are behaving exactly as revolutionaries. Just break the whole system down. Don't worry about the casualties. Hey, as long as we're flying high, right?

On what planet are you not having your say?? At first I thought, What a good guy. He's going to try to make everything work in a bipartisan manner. But who had the bad manners?? Answer me.

I can't really blame them for trying to break the system down at this point since the Dems are doing their very best to rewrite the system to suit only themselves and their views.

But...since you say that the Reps are trying to break down the system, I would like you to explain that.

Which party is it that is going to completely ignore half the United States population by not allowing their elected representatives be heard??

THAT is " tearing down " the " whole system ".

Planet Earth.

Take a look at the OP.

The Dems are not going to allow the Republicans to say what the Republican constituents < who voted for those Republicans > have to say about the bill.

That, beyond anything else, would qualify as " bad manners " than ANYTHING the Republicans have done at this point.

After all, if the Dems DO manage to completely shut out the Republicans, they are basically telling half the population that they simply don't care what those people have to say because those people don't agree with them.

Really. Are you going to sit there and tell me the Reps haven't been given a voice? Compared to the last 8 years, surely you jest!
Our president, and he is our president, like it or not his name is not Nobama, children. And he does have a U.S. birth certificate...is not a communist, facist or socialist.
Uh, what else, you don't like his dog?
All I'm saying is, yes, we do wish things would have gone nicer in the realm of bringing thoughtful issues to the table.
He tried, you cried.
End of conversation.

You are missing the entire point.

At no time over the last 8 years did the Republicans EVER say " You don't agree with us so you are not going to be allowed to debate the issue " to the Democrats.

The Republicans did things, even though you may not LIKE what they did, in accordance with the rules the founding fathers set forth.

Our president, and he is our president, like it or not his name is not Nobama, children. And he does have a U.S. birth certificate...is not a communist, facist or socialist.
Uh, what else, you don't like his dog?

That is where you are completely and utterly wrong.

Just because you don't like what the Republicans have to say, does not give you, the House, the Senate, OR the President the right to say " conversation over ".

I hate to break it to you, but " conversation over " says " We're going to do whatever we want ".

That IS Communism.

He...did....not.

He NEVER, at any point, told the Dems that they weren't allowed to debate any of the issues.

They were allowed to have their voice.

Like I said. You may not have liked the things he and the other Reps did, but they did them in accordance with the way things were set up 200 plus years ago.

The Dems are, in their attempt to exclude the Republican party, completely disregarding half the population AND the tenets the founding fathers set forth.

Yes he did.

He was divisive and dictatorial.

If you were not with him, you were against him.

And he also said if you did not like what he did, too damn bad, he was the great decider.

Go back and look, you will see.

Those things he did say.

However, he did not, at any point, do anything without the Dems having their chance to speak to the contrary.

Even though the Republicans had the majority, the Dems were always allowed to speak.

Funny how the Libs have a selective memory. Especially when the memories are made up. LOL

Funny how you have selective memory...lol

I don't know about libs since I ain't one.

And you are not speaking the facts here.

Bush even changed laws to get his way, he went around anyone who got in his way, etc...

So you have failed at your history lesson here and it was so recent history too.

What a shame.
