I think metal shop was it for me, somehow I really didn't learn much pounding the hell out of this little round peice of metal and making it into a dish.

Square Dancing in PE. We had to study different types of dance for a semester.
I use everything I learned in school -- in one way or another. I never thought I would own a business right out of high school, and all of those, "I'll never use this stuff" became the benchmark for starting my biz. |

sex ed. They didn't teach me shiit. I had to learn how to give a decent blow job all by myself... well... with the help of a willing victim. Sorry, Pec, you brought up the topic and now it will be quietly moved to the "naughty" thread sections.... I'll bet that wasn't very hard. (so to speak) |

Knitting and shoplifting. Boys who were exempt form phys ed because they were too much a gimp, or had a limb or two missing, had to take knitting and crocheting. Yeah, right. As if not being able to run after a ball was not humiliating enough.
All the boys in the class were hot about our Russian teacher. She was like a movie star. Nobody learned a word of Russian in the entire seven years of high school because we were all too busy watching her skirtline when she sat down and watching her blouse and praying overtime that one day the buttons would spontaneously rip off from the internal pressure. Some people on this site said that men can't multitask, and that's true, we were too distracted to listen to her lectures. The hero in the class was a cross-eyed boy, because he claimed that he could watch her hemline and her blouse at the same time. Hmm... we all dreamed we could be like him. Her husband came to our school one day. He was 35 years older than she, seven inches shorter, and had a hunch in his back. Nobody could understand what she saw in him. Hold your horses, it was not money or status, because this was in Communist Hungary, where nobody had any money or status. |

I am still waiting for the day everything I learned about Greek, Roman, Norse and Egyptian mythologies will win me money or pay my bills... Well, one day you may be in a supermarket, and a naked guy walks up to you in a helmet and brandishing a short sword. He will ask you which way to the Parnassus, and you will show the direction with a cucumber. He will give you an Obulus for your providing the information. I am surprised it hasn't happened to you yet. I paid for my mother's Caribbean cruise two years ago with the Obuli I collected this way. |

Yeah, those were lessons I could have skipped. I always hated CCD. |

Today the Obulus again gained against the Euro, but went down three basis points against the Yen. --- Hass, just for you: A gf of mine's son was getting married, to a Koptic girl. He was a tall, straight as a square guy, no sense of humour. She was short, fat-tish, very attractive, swarthy, just like me. She was an immigrant from Lebanon. So the fiancee says they had to go through pre-marriage classes at his RC church. I asked, was that an immersion course? The girl graciously smiled, he looked at me, what? I repeated myself. He waited a few seconds, we all did, and then he said, "Andrew, you are such a huge a$$hole." |

Most worthless class? PE!
(...and the teacher who did "shower checks?" Well, we always DID wonder about her!) |
