you see more of the realness of who people are come out then any other time. Their vulnerbility, the kindness, giving that one would never would suspect otherwise.
This year, we have had at least 2x the donations than ever, and 3 times as many of those in need since last spring.
The food donations are incredible! As clothes, which are so sorely needed by those who have been struck by life in the last year or so.
Being my sometimes cynical self about the classes of people as the gap becomes wider...this season has already proven itself on how wrong I thought, and am quietly, gratefully surprised.
Even used coats, gloves, a few extra cans of food or protein- have been showing up every day. Sometimes just a bag by the back door, or a van full. It really is great.
People do really care about people. And the ones who need and receive it will all the better as people.
Happy- "What-Ever-it Is-!" that you celebrate!

So true... It's good to see... It'd be nice if it was more often than just this time of year... with kindness from the heart and words as well as donations...

Yes, words are just as important as anything else.. Sometimes, you get the feeling that, that is, what it's really all about.

Agreed, I think more of the consistency of volunteerism, charity and goodwill throughout the entire year!

Maybe we can learn to have so much love and concern for others all year round...

Caring and sharing should be all year long, not just the holidays.Even if it's just a kind word of hello, hope you have a great day.JMO
