Can someone tell me what snoe ice cream is? The recipe my mother taught was our gallon stew pot, filled with snow off the top of the roof, she would beat 2 eggs,a cup sugar, a cup of canned milk, vanilla and then pour over the snow, mixing enough to incorporate, put in bowls and eat while it melted...I know there are raw eggs in it..you can omit them if you like. You can tweak it with cream instead of milk..your preference... That's exactly the way we made it..but I left out the eggs, cause people get so paranoid about everything.lol |

Just dug out my mom's reciepe: 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup cream or milk Few grains of salt Add snow by the cupfulls to egg mixture, stirring until thick, eat immediately as it melts quick. Double for 6 or more. |
