i can't seem to find the perfect software, though about adobe but they are usually too damn heavy & i wanted something light and simple to use on amateur home videos
any suggestions ? |

I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 but it's definitely has a learning curve & is expensive. Have you tried Windows Movie Maker? It's very basic but that may be all you need.

Either or, more than likely you are looking for something like Windows Movie Maker. Would say Vegas Pro, but that comes in at about 500-600 dollars, however studio is only about 80 dollars and works relatively the same. Try demo's of Vegas/Adobe, both have multiple different programs for multiple things. |

final cut studio pro is the industry standard at the moment, mac only and very expensive, but well worth the money.

No real point in spending that kind of money on something that you are only going to use once in awhile for the occasional home video. I still say check out Vegas Studio, cheap and easy to use. Considering I don't do home videos for video editing I have both Sony Vegas Video Pro and Adobe After Effects...combined total of about $1,200. |
