Everyone has there own preference...
But today... I didn't put any makeup on. And when I do, it's generally minimal. There pic I have up I am wearing actually lipstick, which is very rare. I usually just put on some lip gloss which comes off right away anyways. |

Here is why your first date should be at the ocean to wash everything away...before and after make-up photos I'd say 90% of the models' "modification" is through "photoshop" techniques, not makeup. I know, I do a boatload of photography and although I do not like to alter a person's 'raw' look, my "clients" do. I'm sure most have seen this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XEHpyQbwM0 You'll notice most of the "beauty enhancing" was done on a computer using Photoshop. |

As long as men realize that real women have blotchy skin at best, no eyelashes, hair in a lot of places that it shouldn't be, cellulite, etc... and can be seen in public with us like that, we can all go naturalle...lol I just don't see it happening.

I've always been aspiring to be a beauty contest judge. I can be bribed!
Almost all the couplets of pictures of the same woman are equivalent to me. The made-up pictures make these girls look plastic, though very good-looking, and probably nice-tasting, plastic. The natural photos cannot hide the beauty of the bone structures of these babes. The only one I really don't like as a woman is the first pic -- she's underaged, she's too young, she's unripened yet. Going to bed with her (I'm getting carried away here) would be like going to bed with a green banana. Literally. |

When I see a woman with that much paint on her face I lose interest. Yep. Me too. |

Curious double standard about makeup, especially when it comes to men. On tv or as a movie actor or theater, it is just fine for a man to wear makeup, but in public and mainstream life, any man who wears makeup would be seen as transvestite, homosexual, or effeminate. Another fine example of "either it's all okay or none of it is."

Hey, natural beauty is hard to come by...so there's face in a jar.

Another fine example of "either it's all okay or none of it is." Having done a bit of theater, I can actually explain this one. The reason that people ( in the case you are speaking of, men ) wear makeup is simply because, if they didn't, their eyes would look exceptionally dark and there would be various other shadows because of the lighting. Makeup is used to soften those shadows and to make sure that the correct facial features stand out. If it wasn't used, the guys you see on stage would have faces that looked like skulls rather than faces. |

Hey, natural beauty is hard to come by...so there's face in a jar. Yes, it is. Look no further than your local DMV, grocery store, or Wal-Mart. Hordes of ugly people out there. The cosmetic industry has their work cut out for them. |

Pretty much any woman can look spectacular with a ton of plaster, paint, and airbrushed photos. So what? If you're into the plastic kind of girl, it shouldn't matter what she looks like without makeup, because chances are she won't go many places without it.
I don't often go anywhere without my basics... a little foundation, a little face powder, and some lipgloss. I don't really care what anyone else thinks... I think I look better with it, and when I don't feel like it, I don't wear it. Some guys think I'm scary and that's fine. Plenty more guys check me out than give me dirty looks or laugh at me, so I'm guessing I'm doing alright... despite my occasional pimples and scars. If it weren't for television and magazines, we'd all be perfectly fine with the people we see in front of us without thinking they need to throw on a new coat of paint. |

In a way it is, it allows us to effectively put on a mask and be someone we want to be, even though it's just paints and oils. I think either it's what society expects, or that there is a private enjoyment of persuading people that we are more attractive than we truly are. Yes, there is love at first glance, but some of us are a little more skeptical and love the person for who they are, not what they look like. Beauty is only skin deep as they say. |
