well to be honest with everybody there is God which i believe in and his my creator but is difficult to go on his laid down rules be cos there are a lot of sin been committed every second..

There was no Great Watchmaker! proving or disproving God , especially in a chat forum is about as likely as proving Columbus discovered america,, you either believe the words or you dont... Actually, Columbus didn't discover America. He discovered some island off of north or central America. Probably around Cuba or just north of there. And...uh...actually there is quite a bit of proof of his trip. Like, for instance, I am a caucasion in North America and not a native American. Well...native in the sense that I can't trace my lineage back 14000 yrs or so to ancestors on this continent. And could YOU PERSONALLY prove any of this here in this thread? Doubtful. That was my only point. No way for any of us texting on a forum to prove much of anything to someone else if they dont believe it. umm...seen my pic??? I'm pretty sure I can't pass for Indian lol, no, I meant could you PROVE it was Columbus that discovered America and not someone else for whom he took the credit?,,not in this forum,, noone can PROVE much of anything historical in this forum was my point it's simple...no one needs faith that Columbus discover America...because everyone knows he didn't...there were people here before he came here but when it comes to God...you don't have faith in God you can only have faith that's what's written in the bible is accurate and most believers if not all will admit that the bible is full of metaphors not truths Well, I will refrain from telling anyone what they can and cant believe. As for myself, I do have faith in God and in the divine inspiration of the Bible(a book of history as well as a book of Gods laws). My point still stands though, that in this forum, noone can PROVE people were here before Columbus, proof is not just saying everyone knows. The written forum is much too limited for us to PROVE much of anything to anyone, unless it is proving what some author or another has written,,that we can PROVE. the bible is a book of history??? Did you mean hysteria? 'Cause pretty much any "history" it contains is disputed by just about every recognized historian. lol,, pretty much, just about,, recognized,,,,, sure are alot of subjective words there,,, oh? sorry. here, let me try to make a little more clear for you. pretty much: common term for "most, if not all" just about: common term for "most, if not all" recognized: in this context, historians acknowledged by their peers and other academic groups as being truthful, accurate, and knowledgable about their subject. sorry for assuming the readers of this forum had at least an 8th grade edumication...sheesh |

MsHarmony...that's because you are supposed to let scripture do it for you My point still stands though, that in this forum, noone can PROVE people were here before Columbus, was columbus here before Adam and Eve doubtful, but for anyone who believes he was , I could hardly really PROVE otherwise by typing on a screen that's because there is no need to... when it comes to the existence of people faith is not needed...but faith is needed when it comes to the existence of God why is faith not needed,,on what else is belief founded, when one hasnt seen for themself? You've not seen people? Why, they're practically everywhere. I see 'em all the time. of course people are here right now,,,but noone can present proof (undeniable and undebated) proof that a person named CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS actually discovered anything..... If we follow the theory that MAN is capable of lying and committing those lies to paper,, than how do we know ANYTHING we have only read and not seen for ourselves is the truth?......I will tell you how,, with FAITH in those who wrote it yeah, cause logical reasoning couldn't have anything to do w/ it... oi vay |

For those who expect him to chase you begging for your faith,,,i wouldnt hold my breath. ITs about God and not us. Isn't it obvious to you that you already believe in God, and that when you look at the complexity and beauty of the natural world, you have it as a foregone conclusion that it is the way it is because God created it so? That being the case, do you really think you are able to look at the so-called 'evidence' for a creator in an unbiased way? I neither believe nor disbelieve in a creator; there may very well be a kind of creative intelligence responsible for the natural world; but neither beauty nor complexity requires this to be the case. Sure, evidence for God is everywhere when you've already made up your mind that there everything you see is going to be evidence for God. The watchmaker argument is an interesting line of thought, but as a proof, it is a joke. |

Make sure to thank the plantlife too since they are what actually puts the oxygen out there for us to breathe... and who revived this topic, it was nice and quiet for quite awhile... |

I've always said Life was opposites, Man- Women, Day- Night, Up- Down, You- Me, Good-Bad, God- Devil, and it goes on but the topic was: can anybody prove to me a God Then was Quoted: without quoting Scripture or the Bible, So I thought how could I do that without showing the History Book,God's letter to us,Scripture, So the watchmaker didn't do it for Ya'll, How can you prove the sun will come tomorrow,and then you Arcamedees asks am I serious? or this a joke post?
