No one can prove it either way, this is a no win debate as there is no 100% absolute proof either way.

I figure live life and enjoy it, be kind and caring, regardless of being religious or nonreligious. Let life takes it course and at the end of the road, you will have your proof.

a book can give any character an existence such as "Spiderman" but is there any proof that Spiderman exist beyond the book without using the comic book as a reference

this thread only points out that all anyone think they know about God is not because of the grace of God but because of what they read in a book ..in other words ..."this I know for the bible tells me so"

The responding poster set up a unique circumstance. He is shown proof that is NOT from the Bible or religious scriptures... Sources include: Respected scholars' works, biographies of rulers, court documents and even written works from the detracters of Christ and God.

Historical documents can give proof of a character's existense WITHOUT using scriptures.

This poster only uses circular logic, ad hominem attacks, fallacies, lies and a children's song as a rebutal while refusing to read or acknowledge the evidence shown and them claiming none was presented.

Peter_Pan ...court documents? ...did someone take God to court....and did he show up? ...or did they claim since he is omnipresent that he was in the court somewhere ....

don't you have any direct evidence ...for example.....have you personally heard voices that you think is God or the holy ghost talking to you

is it so hard to just say yes or no ..... the religious will sometimes make claims to each other that God have spoke to them.......the bible is even written by those that have claim God spoke to them ....

why do you need others to provide proof for you of God ...is that an indication that you never met God and/or do not have God in your heart or heard the voices of God that you have to run to others for proof.....and that is why you have no proof beyond faith

No matter what anyone will say or show, people like this will NEVER believe. It's pretty much a waste of time to "debate" with people like that. What you should do is study up on the belief so you don't look ill informed if you ever get into a religious debate.

Just to clarify, THERE IS NO PROOF OR DISPROOF OF GOD'S EXISTENCE. Reason being you believe by FAITH. If you have questions, want to maturely debate, etc, message me. I don't push my beliefs onto people. Have the respect to do the same.

nobody knows, nobody can prove it or disprove it, theres no evidence that there is or isnt one,its as simple as that.

the debate is not about disproving God....it simply ask if there is anyone that has any undisputable proof of God's existence beyond what they read in the bible ....

it's a question design to pop people back into reality and make them realize that the only answer that can be given is ....no ...

No, no more than anyone here can prove to you a Christopher Columbus or a MichaelAngelo, the work lives on but WHO really did it can never be proven. There are writings, but we cant PROVE who wrote them as we were not there. We can only go by what is documented and our faith that it is accurate.

I still think it all boils down to whether or not a disbeliever assumes or takes on faith that matter appeared out of nothing.

If that's their stance, then they MUST believe in magic or miracles.... which leads us back to "God"...

Christopher Columbus and MichaelAngelo were humans and there is no dispute if humans existed the debate is about providing proof of an existence of a God

also some claim that what is documented in the bible consist of metaphors and parables and claiming faith can not make a metaphor or a parable accurate

this is why the thread asks for proof beyond the bible...clearly if God is supposedly omnipresent this task should be simple

humans exist, the question was about whether a SPECIFICALLY named person existed and whether their specific existence can be proven. Some force existed that created the earth and life, the SPECIFIC source or name for that source can , likewise, not be PROVEN by anyone on this thread either. We believe the documents and the theories of our choice.
