We all have our scars, our burdens, our memories of bad dreams become reality. And we all carry them
with us like old photographs tucked into the hidden compartments of our minds. But must we dig them out and show them to every person who sits next to us on the train ride of life like some proud grandmother, or run them through our heads like a continuous loop of ancient films at family gatherings? Do we really need to wear them like so many battle ribbons, displayed across our chests in neat colorful rows, each according to its rank left to right top to bottom; this one for bravery during the assault of family court hill, this for being wounded at the battle of your cheating heart, and please notice if you will the V for valor and the oak leafs for multiple awards?

Tomorrow starts today.

I think I wear mine in the form of smile and frown lines..AKA wrinkles. And although some days it's harder to look in the mirror than others... I wouldn't have the surgery to get rid of them. I have earned them all...
I will however cover the gray roots for now.

Life is good..today is a good day, tomorrow is also a good day!

Our tomorrows are only what we make of them and our past is what we make of today.

If you start your day with a smile and not let the little things get to you life is so much easier.

We can choose to end our day with a smile or a frown which ever it is most likely that is what you will wake up with. bigsmile

yeah..good point and well said. Seems to be that going to bed mad, ya kinda wake up in a pissy mood. Go to bed happy, or at least not all pissed off, ya wake up in the same type mood. Seems the dreams are related to the initial mood..

Uhhhhhhh Mo....

Is the scotch kicking in on ya bro?

hahahahahahahaha

To my experience, stuff like that is for people who dwell on the past as thier personal highlights. What I really dread is the ones who focus on the really negative scars for thier conversations....you know, abusive x's, failed suicides, pets that resent them.......

I've learned

Everyday is new and exciting and filled with it's own possibilities!!

At the end of a day...

I throw away the bad.... Ready to start a new tomorrow!!!

That's why at my age I have not one wrinkle!!! Anywhere!!!

Embrace everynew day like a rebirth!!!

i believe you can either let past pains and scars define you or create you. i have decided to let mine create me into a person with a heart, who always thinks of others before i do.

Damn...I thought today started today!

Clearly, no one benefits from living in the past or dredging up past hurts for too long. At the same time...events in our lives shape us...and help define who who are. Perhaps the thing all of us should try to remember is that we are riding along on this continuum together...we didn't start together and we won't finish together. Tolerance is a great thing...every one of us has had joy and sorrow in our lives. Whenever those events happen to US...it affects ho you feel, how you react to others, what you focus on and talk about. If it's someone else, it can be awfully easy to simply say, "Hey, get over it!"
Chances are when someone said that to us when WE were going through a tough time..it just didn't seem right, did it?" Yeah, most of us all get there...feeling better...but a time to grieve, a time to wallow in self pity (as long as it doesn't go on forever), a time to be angry...is pretty NORMAL. A little positive, kind encouragement always seemed better somehow than a slap in the face when I faced tough times. Perhaps, if we all keep that in mind...the earth spins a little more efficiently. happy
